    create a new user?

Check out the Software Input/Output guide for Administration (553-3001-311) in the section for LD 17. The gate opener is PWD_DATA. You will need to know your second-level password. If you don't know it, you should be able to get it from your vendor.

    DLC NT8D02GA with 24 ports???

It has to do with building the first port on the card as EDLC or XDLC in the CTYP prompt. XDLC is the default 16 ports EDLC is the 24 port card For the sake of correct programming, you should reprogram the card with CTYP = XDLC. Most likely you're being charged for 8 extra spare ports in...

    Intercom Groups on a G3

My software is actually too old and doesn't support group-page. I figure I'll have to upgrade some year. But as long as everything else works, the boss doesn't want to fork over the $$$ just for that feature. Arch

    Report

You could also print a DNB, which gives you every extension and associated hardware information. >LD 20 REQ: PRT TYPE DNB CUST 0 <carriage return through> Arch

    Missing Stations! HELP!

Jolagues: I did use the "list extension-type" command and the stations are not showing up in the list. Arch

    Missing Stations! HELP!

Petran: That sounds like the issue. It's not just 9XX stations, it's also EVERY 3-digit extension range. I'll contact the vendor and see if they can take care of the patch issue. Thanks, Arch

    Missing Stations! HELP!

Hello all: I have a site running CM 2.1 software. If I "list stations" then I get a list of 733 stations. If I "list extension-type" I get 733 entires of type "station-user" If I look at "display capacities" it says I have 1156 stations. If I look at "list config all" I see I have 1156 station...

    LUC on Option 11C

My guess would be you have some Phantoms on some of those loops and that others may have at one time had something programmed on them incorrectly and now you have spare TNs. Can you use the LUU command on any of those 'loops'? Arch

Rls 25.40B & Route Optimization on Answered Calls Not Working ???

I had a similar problem at one point with an ITG 25.40B setup. Trunk Anti-Tromboning was turned on, but it wasn't working. It turned out that we had a bad D-Channel card. Replaced that and then everything worked correctly. I guess I would ensure that TAT is enabled. If it is, but it's not...

    Disaster Recovery

My company offers off-site copies of your backup disk. In case every single copy you have disappears or someone steals your fire-proof safe, you can still download a copy off of our website. Click the banner at the top of this page and go to the "Backups" section to learn more. Thanks, Arch

Advice on PBX tech's career path..

At 18 I went to college, got a job as a student tech in the telecom department. Pulled cable, did minor MAC work, basic troubleshooting of stations, and pulled more cable - $6.40 / hour Got my A.A.S. and went to work in the data networking field for two months in upstate NY - $10.00 / hour...

    Phantom Help

I don't believe the PBX will let you built up the phantom superloop to support those card slots. On older option 11s you can build up superloops 64,68,72,76,80 to give you access to card slots 41-60 On newer option 11s you can build up superloops 96,100,104,108,112 to give you access to card...

    911 issue.

I would think that would do it. Copy down how it's programmed. Out it. Dial "911" and see what happens. If that didn't solve the problem, then you might want to put it back in. Arch

    911 issue.

No, I'm saying THAT SPN allows you to dial 9,911. I'm saying to print the spn of 11 and see what that says. If the SPN of 11 is not configured, then we'll have to look elsewhere. Arch

    911 issue.

Actually, see if you have an SPN of "11" instead of "911" I would bet that AC1 is "9" so to access those SPNs, you dial AC1+SPN or "9"+"11". If you remove the "11" SPN, then people shouldn't be able to dial it. Arch

    DISA ACCESS

For using an ACDN for redirection I think I only specify MAXP = 1 and NCFW = (detination #) Everything else I think you can just carriage return through. Arch

    CAN'T DIAL 1-866

Did you happen to print ALL NPAs or just the 1866 NPA? If you printed all of them, then you might see NPA 1866 264 set up to deny all calls, if you just print NPA 1866 I don't think you see any of the broken out NPAs. Arch

Starting point for IP phone TN's

IP Phones use Virtual Loops, not Phantom Loops. (Preceded by a "V" when built up in Configuration Record, instead of "N" or "P") Also, in Option 11C systems, the "Loop" built up does not correspont to the first digits of the TN. Rather, Virtual Loop V096 will give you TNs ranging from...

    Taking out a loop

A quick and easy way to find routes and trunks is to use Overlay 21: >LD 21 REQ: LTM CUST 0 ROUT ACOD TYPE TLST TKTP COT ROUT 0 DES TEST TN 001 0 00 00 MBER 1 TEST1 In this case, we see that TN 001 0 00 00 is in ROUT 0. (This is a standard analog trunk, digital trunks will only show...

    What is Succession 3.0?

Succession 3.0 is a software upgrade to Meridian 25.40 software. Where Meridian systems use X11 software, Succession systems use X21 software. Don't be fooled, there are minimal hardware changes. The main addition to Succession over Meridian is H.323 trunking using a signaling server...
