Licensing Patch RMF
Licensing Patch
Be aware that anything licensed through Professional Services (registry keys under Micros/PS) WILL break when this patch is installed, and will not work until a new license key is obtained and installed in the proper place in the registry. Also, you will...
From what I can ascertain, 5.3 was a private release for a couple of large customers only. I have not been able to find any binaries or documentation for anything in the 5.3 line on the master Micros portal - it just leaps from 5.2 to 5.4.
I haven't seen that exact error in my environment before - but it's almost looking like changes have been made independently to the store level that were not pushed by the EM server. To research, you'd need to connect to the store in question and your EM system at the database/SQL level, and...
The only thing I've found for Simphony online is the "wiki" they keep on the Micros customer portal.
You may be able to get access by talking to your local Micros dealer.
I've gotten VNC working on a WS5 before. but I'm using a different package that either pmegan or moregelen uploaded a while back.
Link to package: WS5 VNC
Nope, ran it on my test lab server, which is physical.
That registry key may end up being under HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Micros Inc.\EJOrganizer\LicenseCode, if I'm reading it correctly. I just copy-pasted the path straight out of procmon.
I did a pass against the file with procmon, it shows it's looking here for a license file (Win7 x64):
HKCU\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MICROS Inc.\EJOrganizer\LicenseCode
I don't know of a way to test KDS functionality, outside of being hooked up to a network and having at least one physical device (workstation, RDC, etc.) that can run the KDS client application.
The cheapest route would probably be to grab an old WS4 off of eBay, should be less than $100.
Standalone mode access is set by employee class in POS Configurator on the server. The password is the user's password ID - generally a 10 or so digit code that often corresponds to a mag swipe card.
If you received any swipe cards with the workstations, they are your best bet. Otherwise...
I've been digging on this one for a few days.
I have noticed that 3700 does not let you delete an employee if they are the "changed by" person in the tables "hist_emp_job_otm_lvl_dtl" and "hist_job_otm_lvl_dtl", which is not allowing old supervisors/managers to be deleted from the system, as...
I haven't worked with the Merchant Link driver, but you will probably need to add the Merchant Link Debit Card driver to your system. Micros might charge a fee for this, not sure as you are already a Merchant Link customer using the Credit Card driver.
My guess is you'd need the Debit Card...
This probably isn't much help, but the one time I used a red key, it came with a standard Micros key code printout to go along with it (for versions 4 and 5).
Has this site updated to 5.4 MR2, by the way? I have no clue how the new Oracle Licensing patch works with red keys, as supposedly the...
You might be able to use a SQL statement similar to : "UPDATE micros.mi_def SET slu_priority = null".
Not sure if custom or DBA permissions would be needed for this one.
I've never put a recall button on a non-Expo screen before, but it almost sounds like the dessert KDS still thinks it's an Expo somehow, based on the fact that it's doing a Recall All.
I use a program called SyncBack Pro ($50) with hourly file moves, and an hourly autosequence with the receive command in it to manage our 20-ish sites.
The dayend autosequence then creates a package, which SyncBack Pro picks up and delivers to the EM server inbound folder.
The package...
You should be able to get a list by connecting to your database with dbisql and running: "select * from micros.rpt_template_def where rpt_template_seq < 9999" .
Make sure that none of your custom reports show in that listing. If they do, you'll need to delete and recreate them with an ID...
