Never heard of it. Seems to be popular with Asian restaurants. Note that they might show a name, but it could be 1 franchisee of a major brand.
As a former Toast user, I don't think its overly friendly except in a mom and pop restaurant - no real good enterprise management, no major...
Is there a firewall blocking the connection? If it is not able to go over the internet and there is a backup modem configured, it will go there.
I'm also assuming you have set the CC type to use FDC as opposed to WP.
This group tends to be micros centered accidentally. You can also ask here...
There is a store setting to prevent the DOB from exceeding the system date. This will prevent them running EOD multiple times.
CFC - Its under Store > Store Settings > System. Look Under End Of Day - "prevent business date from exceeding system date"
NAM - I'd assume teh same as CFC, but not...
AK data is kept in the kitchen log, and is only reportable via Aloha Kitchen - unless you are a SQL person and can read direct data from there. Unlike Aloha, there is no rpt setup.
Depending on your circumstances, you might not be able to get the data as SQL and AK just don't like each other...
What is reasonably priced to you?
What hardware do you have? This will limit what you can run.
What are you operational needs? (1 type of promo, or 5?)(Online ordering via OLO.com or the POS makers attempt at online ordering?)
Are you counter service, table service, and/or have a drive thru...
You want the GNDTndr.dbf file, not GndSale.dbf, to easily see payments. The Type 1 will show the tender number, which will also correspond to your cash tender.
GndTndr.dbf
This file contains a record for all applied payments.

Look in the CFC logs. It will give you the answer to this question just before this error in there. I see it alot when ATO is enabled but not installed, the CFCProcessor is stuck and needs to be killed, SEC codes are not matching, and sometimes the SQLDB needs to be rebuilt.
It can also depend on the model terminal. I've run into some PAR terminals that needed a custom cable as the standard one i've always used would not work.
Why not use a promo type of group combo? You would ring up all items as normal, then pressing the promo button would automatically combine the items as one with the price.
My former reseller has verified this is true, and they have been ensuring all their customers who refuse to update are aware. Luckily those that refuse are now agreeing.
Atleast NCR gave us a year heads up instead of their usual couple month notice.
Unfortunately no. CFC and NAM keep their data in SQL these days. When an export occurs, they pull the data from SQL, generate dbf files, and away it goes....
You can plug cash drawers into the back of a thermal printer and setup the cash drawer as a printer kick type. Each cash drawer will be #1 since it will only be 1 drawer per printer.
I don't believe there is a way to do such a thing in Aloha on a terminal. The Orderman7 supports it, however that is better suited for event venue's and movie theatres.
I've been handed Posera's solution, PayMyTab, and recently handed Elavon's EMV solution to test in our labs.
One of my big things is I want an out of scope solution, which is why any type of tethering to the POS with the handheld device is out of my sight.
Thats a tough one. If you know the exact amount, you could grab the grind files from the dated subs and open them in excel. Don't make any changes, but you could narrow it down from there. Gndtndr is where you might want to start.
