Per the Seagate web site each Hard drive will use
2.8 amps + or - 10%
12.5 watts seek
12.0 watts read/write
7.0 - 7.7 watts idle/standby
So you will have 102.4 watts to 112.64 watts just for the hard drive.
This is a lot considering you need to figure on at least two fans. (You didn't specify...
We run Windows XP Pro and have a Matrox G450 dual head card on our graphics editors system. He runs 2 21" Viewsonic monitors and it does a great job. I know Windows XP Pro will work with dual monitors.
I do not know about another card however. Most of our machines will either work PCI...
According to Microsoft XP Pro. will utilize dual processors on it's own. It does not require apps built for multiple processors. I have not tried it yet as the only dual processors we have are servers and are running WIN2K Server.
What type of printers are giving you the problem?
I have found that with a Deskjet 940 connected to a NT4.0 machine, a computer running XP cannot print to it. H.P. says that the problem is that the deskjets are not supported for networking and XP will not access them across anetwork.
Any...
On the laser jet products of HPs the ghost image you are seeing is usually the fuser. If you look at the fuser roller there will probably be an area that is discolored with something burnt on. Unfortunatly this cannot be cleaned and the fuser must be replaced.
For remanufactured fusers call...
When we upgraded our network from NT4.0 to WIN2K our WIN2K and XP workstations both became VERY slow to log in. The problem was the DNS server address had changed and we had to correct that to solve the problem. Now they log on better than when we had NT.
I don't know if you have tried this, BUT, the 4P may not be plug and play.
Have you tried adding the printer manually?
I know that the 4 is not plug and play. I have added Laser Jet 4s, 4+, and 4Vs manually and they have all worked.
Welcome to the jungle!!
We run an NT4 network with 100+ workstations and 50+ servers. I have upgraded 25 workstations to W2K and we will put the W2K domain controller on line Monday 3/11. I am sweating bullets.
I now have 4 XP workstations on the network and so far have experienced NO problems...
We have a wireless system set up in one building and like
ROGER - GØAOZ the system does not perform quite as advertised.
We have 3 central antennas (one in each hallway) and a total of 26 users split about evenly to each node. The system is very slow when most people are logged in and working...
I didn't see what errors you were getting. Also what version of Easy CD Creator are you using? Version 5 Platinum needed a patch before we could get it to work.
What is the config. of your machine? Processor and memory?
What do you have running in the background when you are trying to burn? Is...

This error can have several possible causes.
1st What O.S. are you running?
2nd What program was you working with when you got the error?
3rd What is your p.c. configuration. (Amount of R.A.M. & hard disk free space.)
I ask this because Virtual memory uses the hard drive and if it doesn't...
The administrator has probably uninstalled the wallpaper selection. If this is so you could download a wallpaper from the internet or email yourself a picture to use and set it as wallpaper. If they have disabled this through policy manager (i.e. disabling right click) you would have to hack it...
OK! I am not sure I understand what you are wanting.
Do you want to get rid of the Win 98 choice or the winnt choice.
If you want to skip this screen completely after you boot to NT log in as administrator and select "start, settings, control panel, system, startup/shutdown, and change...
www.networktechinc.com/technote.html is a website with the pinouts of keyboards. You can use that to help check the ps2 connector.
If you have connected and disconnected the keyboard while the computer is powered up it is possible the keyboard port is shot.
A little info about the system would help.
YDSXG failed to start may be the Yamaha sound built in to some Intel mother boards. Check this in the control panel under multimedia preferred devices and see if the Yamaha device is loaded.
Could be corrupt drivers or conflicts in settings.
This may not be the best fix but it is quick and works.
Go to add remove programs in the control panel. Choose Windows NT Setup and uncheck screensavers. This will uninstall the app. Then restart your system and repeat the steps but check the screensaver box. Have your NT disk available and...
