DDR vs. SDRAM big diff.?

What is the exact comparision to the ddr and SD rams....is ddr way faster? because i am on sdram...and if ddr is way mush faster then i would want to upgrade to a new motherboard so i can get ddr ram. But if theres not much a difference...i'll just stick to my sdram and buy 512 megs of those instead. can someone help please? thanx

SDRAM runs at 100 or 133. DDR runs at 266. Please seethe following page for specs.

AMD chipset but accepts both SDRAM and DDR Ram so it will last tons of upgrades if you use it well.
