You don't telnet to it you ftp to it. Just go to the directory that has the firmware on your PC and type: ftp x.x.x.x (ip address of the medpro). It will prompt you for the user name and password you gave it in the filexfer screens. Then type bin for a binary transfer and put xxxxx.bin (medpro...
Its probably your answer supervision on your trunk you are dialing out on. Out is probably set to no on the trunk form. Keep in mind this will allow users to transfer calls to where ever their COR allows and ties up 2 trunk ports. One on each trunk.
You set the password when you enable filexfer. This command could differ depending on your version of CM. Are you able to even ping the medpro IP from your PC?
You should be able to setup ARS for location 2. I'm assuming your G700 is set to location 2. All you have to do is: ch ars ana xxx location 2.
If there is a better match in the main ARS it will chose this but it matches an entry in location 2 table you can setup routes to your other trunks...
Unplug the phone, upon boot when it says press * to program, press *.
Press # until the display says "Enter Command". Press "mute logoff #" (spell out logoff on the keypad).
If that doesn't work there is always "mute clear #" (this one will definitely get rid of extension) and "mute reset #"
Verify the number of digits AT&T is sending you. They may be sending too many digits.
Or better yet do this:
list trace tac xxx (where xxx is the TAC of your new trunk group)
I think this works on that version...
As far as setting up the main number make it a vdn (add vdn xxxx) and create a...
It's a bug. Go to the webpage change your timezone to a different timezone and update. Then change it back to the correct timezone and it will fix the problem.
Seen it way too many times... bug!
Find an available extension.
change uniform xxxxx (available extension)
set your extension length etc, insert digits if you want (not usually necessary though), for NET make it AAR
change route xxx (new route pattern using your new PRI trunk)
change aar ana xxxxx (your extension)
Point...
Typical managment answer...none.
Anyway, put a bridged appearance of the agents phone on yours. Seize the agents phone line and try typing in the access code for auto-in.
Sounds like you are using Gedi interface in which case newterm won't work, either way, type this: list config soft
Will give you software version. "disp capacity" usually does too on the last page.
Get VoIP phones make a change on buttons and not have to go out and change the label on the phones.... that is a ROI - material/labels, tech time to label (however you will spend a lot more on buying the VoIP phones and such....)
In the long run the ROI is you don't need to run phone lines...
VoIP! Yes VoIP! Major changes.... 5.1.2 is latest. Here is a ROI for you, convert all your trunking to SIP and remove DS1 lines.... huge savings... however I caution Avaya doesn't have a way to synchronize off of anything but DS1 boards currently.... slight (huge) issue if all SIP trunking...
list ip-codec
Check what codec you are using in your Network Region at the office with the PRI. Probably defaulted to G.711MU for all 7 when you upgraded and the PRI site is probably using G.729A or something different. Either change the codecs to match or add a secondary to either end that...
1. Make a different node-names with the new IP addresses and disable the ip-interface and then change the name and enable it. Delete the old node-name. If you don't do it this way you will have to delete the data mods...very painful. Not something to do in the middle of the day.
2. Leave...
