Hi folks,

Hope anyone can help me out. We have a CM 4.0.5 with 6 CLAN's in IP-Network-Region 1. IP Network Map is correct. But on 1 CLAN we have 493/400 registrations. All other CLAN's has 80/400 registrations. unnamed registration is on y because this customer needs this feature.

Hopefully anyone can help us out

If the boards were added after a lot of the phones were already registered that would explain what you are seeing maybe...

if you reboot the phones, they should register and be in balance, divided among all of the 6 CLAN cards. Even if a phone is told to use a particular IP address, the switch will redirect it to another CLAN, but this only occurs during registration. Have you tried resetting/rebooting the phones and see if it will then balance the load?

or resetting all the clans should force all the phones to re-register

What is the command to reset the clans by the way??

Reset a PoE switch.

This will reset the phones. 48 at a time...(depending on size of switch).

Thanks,

small update on our problem.
all phones are using DHCP with option 242. if we use unnamed registration, all the phones go back to the 1st CLAN of the scoop. No matter how many channels are available. So now 498/400 This feature is wanted by the customer, so we can't remove this.

We are now changing scoops to different CLAN, but this is a fast work around. Normally they should have some kind of load balancing.

Resetting the phones without changing the DHCP scoop, hasn't changed anything

thanks for the help so far
