denial event 2371: IGC:Exch no common codec D1=0x4e00 D2=0x40077917

This error comes up when a call is routed across the WAN to go out the PRI of another office. The same process works fine with a lot of other offices. I believe it worked at this office prior to going to CM 3.1.2 from CM 2.2. That may not be related but I am lost here. I found the message in the alarm manual but it was useless. Do anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Check what codec you are using in your Network Region at the office with the PRI. Probably defaulted to G.711MU for all 7 when you upgraded and the PRI site is probably using G.729A or something different. Either change the codecs to match or add a secondary to either end that matches.
 
Not sure what the real cause was but reseting the voip engine in the G700 resolved the issue for now.
