need programming for ATA off PRI for D I D to server

If I'm reading your post correctly, you want an ATA to send MF/DTMF from the Norstar to another external device for a call coming from a PRI. Can't be done with an ATA or an ATA2. You might be able to do it with a VMI, but they're discontinued and hard to find. More reliable option would be...

Legend 7.0 Transfer Outside System W/ Low Volume

The only way I know to get reliable volume on transfers is to use a 'network' transfer (which you said is not available), or to use all-digital trunking (i.e. T1 or PRI) into the system. We have a local PRI and an LD t1, and do LOTS of off-system forwarding and transfers (supervised and...

    Three companies using one T1

I agree with HarrisD1200... you need to call the lec/clec that provides the DID service, and ask them to change the 'name' for each of the DID's in question, if they're willing to do so. (again assuming service in the US)

    DID FAX

check your clock source, and see if the PRI is taking any slips. Are there any other modem calls that go accross this PRI?

CM - Outgoing ID coming up as old company name

If you're in the US, the 'name' that is displayed is under the control (mostly) of the provider of your DID service (or provider of your main number be they T1/COT/whatever.) Calling Party Nubmer is 'sent', but 'name' is retrieved by the far-end telco. Some receiving telco's don't want to pay...

Trying to set up wireless router behind existing network

if the dlink supports it, sure. I have two Microsoft mn-700's (they were waaaayyyy cheap) and you have to choose a 'router' mode or a 'bridge' mode... the bridge makes it just an acces point, where the 'router' makes it do dhcp/nat/etc.

    Legend T-1 Caller ID?

You cannot get 'name' on a plain T1 either. If the carrier will support ANI delivery on T1 then you could get a number (ani or cpn depending on carrier) but many LECs will not provide that service.

incoming caller id not working on phones with DNIS routes

I don't think I understand everything you've explained, so I don't have a 'great' answer... you said you have DID interface in the system... if you mean a DID trunk card with copper DID circuits, those will never have CallerID inbound on them--the DID spec doesn't support it. If _everything_ is...

Phone to auto-answer analog/pots and become handsfree call

I actually have a couple... took me a while to figure out what the 'auto' button was for **sheepish grin**

    911 calls

Or upgrade your trunking so a specific DID is transmitted to the PSAP. If you use PRI for oubound 911 calls, that's the least expensive way. Other option would be CAMA trunks, but that gets expensive. See if your LEC offers a PS/ALI product which would allow you to have the PSAP identify...

    OLI

Another wrinkle is if your carrier will allow you to transmit the number. If your carrier isn't screening, you should be able to. Name lookup by the far end will be a crapshoot, tho... did some fairly extensive testing with one of my carriers, and we got the number to 'send' reliably, but...

    T-1 Caller ID

good to know they've improved the software :) I'll have to ask around and see if they've fixed it on the big switches now, too....

    Conference Transfer

You have to have 'reliable disconnect' enabled, or have trunk modules that have disconnect supervision. If the system knows that it can't supervise the trunks, it won't allow you to 'drop off'.

    T-1 Caller ID

and my experience has been that if you can get the telco to do ANI, with Nortel equipment you can't do ANI and DID at the same time on a non-PRI t1... it's one or the other.

    Free Audio Conferencing

We use freeconference for our weekly staff and client meetings. No affiliation other than as a reasonably satisfied user. We've only had one or two bad channels (echo) in over a year

    Caller ID on LD Calls

If your 'long distance' calls go out on a 'plain' t1, or you use a very low cost carrier, there is no 'number' to be sent. If it is a plain T1, the carrier should be able to put at least your main number on the trunk group as a default Calling Party Number. Per-station Calling Party Number is...

Phone picks up automatically on speaker

I believe this feature exists for use in 'clean' spaces like operating rooms, so that the users have a 'hands free answerback' option for all calls. I happen to own a couple of Avaya 'analog' sets that have this option also.

    Opt. 11 Mini

I actually have one I'm trying to get rid of. There's a 3 cable 'octupus' cable with db25 connectors on the end. They hook up directly to a modem, so I think that means if you're connecting to a serial port on a laptop you'll need a null modem.

    RESTRICTING INTERCOM CALLS

I'd go with phoneguy427's suggestion... or having the set hotline to the attendant, that way if they harass the attendant, they can be asked to leave...

    MICS PRI

Have they already confirmed that the T1 is b8zs/esf end-to-end? If there is a conversion to d4/ami and back inbetween, that will hose your dchannel, too.
