we have three companies sharing one T1 circuit. They would like for each company to have outbound Caller ID. Has any one done this before?

If it's a T1, then the PBX cannot send outbound CID info - you're dependant upon the carrier to do that - so you're at their mercy. If it were PRI, things could be different...

Agree with above. If this is a standard Robbed Bit Signaling T1, almost every CO switch out there can divide it into 3 different trunk groups (presumably 1-8, 9-16, 17-24), and assign a different outbound caller id to each trunk group. Then, on inbound, the numbers would be pointed to each trunk group. In the PBX, you would set it up so that each company accessed the proper set of channels for outbound, and that the phone numbers coming in on each set of channels went to the proper place. If it's a PRI, then you the PBX can send the caller ID desired, and it should work fine.

Then just under system DN's set the OLI for each set with the phone number you want each set to show. This would show caller id on a per set basis.

But it would still show the Billing Name on Outbound calls. You can't change that only the numbers.Or have the PH CO. send no Name.

Most of the time, the name lookup is done at the terminating end based on the CLID phone number. So, if you put different names in LIDB for the 3 different phones numbers to be sent, that "should" solve the problem. The times it doesn't solve the name issue is if the terminating CO is using old data (it costs to do updates), or if the CO is allowing the name to be sent from the CPE, which is rare, but not unheard of. Either can be fixed with a call to the CO to block the name, and force a LIDB database lookup.

This is a BCM it can't do that. And it's a PRI, it is just dialing out on one of the channels.

I agree with HarrisD1200... you need to call the lec/clec that provides the DID service, and ask them to change the 'name' for each of the DID's in question, if they're willing to do so. (again assuming service in the US)
