Can XP machine log onto VisionFS?

I use 3.1 VisionFS with XP, but I have it autheticating against a Win2K domain controller. It will NOT work on a Win2K3 DC, but it works very well on the Win2K. I do not use 98 or 95 so I don't know how they will do.

    Norstar MICS 4.0

I apologize for my lack of clarity. Incoming lines only ring at the Reception desk. I want one of the other desksets in the office to ring as well and to be able to pick up the line when the receptionist is away from her desk. How do I do that?

    Informix 7.x

Have you changed your terminal type or TERMCAP entries? Check out that to see if that change is what is casuing the garbage. Like, the upgrade changed termcap entries and it is cobbling the output. Ted B

will removing "trap" solve telnet issues in SCO Unix

Signal 3 is tty quit. I would try leaving that one out before I abandon the entire line. Let me know if that helps. It is just a guess. Ted B

    Pass-Thru Printing

When you do pass-thru printing, the Escape Sequences or Pass-Thru codes must be consistent. For example, if you originally had your Ice.TCP set up as a VT100 terminal and then changed to Wyse50, this could affect the codes being sent. I would check and see what codes are being sent by the app...

    Win XP Pro & VisionFS

Upgrade to 3.10.905 at the very least. Consider authenticating against your NT server. I do that and it has cured all my ills. Otherwise, I think you may have to do a registry hack: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkStation\parameters]...

Please Be more specific as to your need. Exactly what is it you are attempting to do? XC is a terminal program, but if you just need to send a file, that semes to be an odd way about it.

How to make a printer connected to a terminal prints?

Assuming that I understand your statement: You need to know the sequence that turns on local printing and the sequence to turn it off. For example, if it were an ANSI terminal (vt100, vt220, SCOANSI, etc.), the sequence to turn on local printing is: ESC [ 5 i Turn it off with ESC [ 4 i I...

Backup with a date stamp in Filename on Hard Disk.

We backup some critical file directories to the hard drive on a daily basis. In our case we backup only for a week. We back up the entire system daily on tape. The daily backups are for quick reference. In our case: DATE=`/bin/date +%A` cd /u/appl/filepro tar cvf /tmp/u_${DATE}.tar ./*...
