I have an end user who saw someone else do this. You can go under format//cells and then set the alignment to 45 degrees. You can go to the border tab and put a diagonal border on. This puts the text at the top of the "upper" triangle. The lower triangle however cannot have text in...
I would like to split a cell diagonally so I can put text above and below the line. I have merged 2 cells together and put a diagonal border in the cells. I want to be able to type text above and below the line. I can't do this. Is there a way to put a diagonal line in a cell and type above...
Try searching for normal.dot and rename it. Relaunch word and see if it happy when you exit. Also, the normal.dot is referencing the J: drive. If this is a network drive, check under tools//options file locations tab. Is word using a workgroup template? If so, try taking the path to the...
Setup a new pc with office 97. On the old PC, when I do a file//open, it takes about 6 sec to display the list of 1200 files. On the new PC, it takes about 20 sec to display the same list of 1200 files. I don't want to put the files in sub directories. Tried a new normal.dot and that didn't...
Just a thought, if you want to keep 001 as a number to use in a formula, you can create a custom format. If all your numbers will start with 00, you can create a custom format (format//cells//custom) "00"#
If you enter 1, the result will be 001. If you enter 27, the result will be...
BTW, you initially wanted to create a pull down menu. Did you play with the form field called "drop-down form field". If you add it to the form, then r-click and properties it, you can set it to display the desired items in the drop down list.
When you lock the form, data can only be entered in the spots where the form fields are located. That means that you will have to put fields in all the places where the data has to go. Also, when locked, the tab key will pop a user from field to field making enter easier.

The dictionary files are located in c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\proof. The main, english dictionary file is called mssp3en.lex. I don't know how to open that file staight up. It is not an ascii file. You can add words to the dictionary during a spell check which creates an...
You probably already tried this but....Have you shut down, made sure your shift, alt, ctrl and space bar keys weren't stuck by wacking them a couple of times and powered back on. Thought I would take a shot in the dark.
Hi! What version of Outlook are you using? Outlook 2000 requires express--outlook express missing can cause this problem. Did you remove express? If so, you can try to reinstall express by reinstalling IE5 from the office 2000 CD. Put in the office 2000 disk 1 and go to the ie5 folder. Run...
Have you tried to open explorer and open the file from the network drive instead of doing a file/open in word or excel? Is the network client you are using the most recent? Could the network drive be dropping?
