avAyATEKky,
I'm not sure I remember correctly if reason codes can be used without EAS; I think you can use them but you'd have to have a CMS for reporting.
For historical data you don't have to use ODBC. You can access Informix database directly via Informix client over the network or locally...
Bought an S8300B off Ebay, it came with no RAM planks installed. If anybody has a similar media server, could you please take a quick look at what kind of RAM this thing has? Can't find anything definitive in Avaya docs except that it should have 2 x 256 MB DIMMs; no type info though.

A little bit of shameless self-advertising: the best way to solve CMS Supervisor compatibility problems is avoid it. ;) See CMS Webdash demo, login 'cms' with any non-empty password.

FoneFun,
Your Avaya Business partner is right, CMS R11 is long out of sales and they can't do anything about it. In fact, only Avaya can authorize new CMS installations and they won't do that because R11 is EoL.
In case your original hardware fails, you can have a spare HDD. Ultra 5 uses...
Colleagues,
If anybody have software disks with CMS R9 or R11 - Solaris 8, IDS and CMS software itself - and wouldn't mind sharing it with me, I would really appreciate that. Nothing illegal involved, just inhumane scientific experiments in the name of greater good. :)

Alex.

Dear colleagues,
I happen to need CMS R9 based on Sun Ultra 5 machine. What's the best place to go looking for it? Ebay doesn't list any.

Alex.

maichelle63,
Use Agent Administration -> Activate Agent Trace to add these agents. You need to do this manually, agent trace is not activated by default.

NCBrit,
The key word is 'DMCC'. I would suggest joining DevConnect at http://devconnect.avaya.com, it's free and there are tons of developer documentation available for AES.

btrain08,
I'm not sure what you called a queue light then. Vustats button? If so then no, there is no standard way to provide audible alerting for that. I assume agent is supposed to handle the call, not be distracted by new calls arriving in queue. There's no guarantee an agent will get that...
azmoose,
It could be done quite easily, in fact: every CMS server comes with ODBC software that allows accessing Informix tables. You can use this ODBC interface to extract the historical data you need. Take a look at R16 documentation: http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100120763. You...
lisamb,

TechVol,
You can either split your T1 and use some time slots for voice and some for data, or alternatively you can use ISDN data calls for dial-up connection.

mojoputter,
That number is determined by the dongle you have for BCMR-D software. Last time I've seen one was several years ago but I recall it was printed right on the dongle.

AvayaTier3,
AFAIR getting root access to CM server is easy as 1-2-3. At least on CM2 and CM3, it was easy as a breeze. Never tried it on later versions but don't see no reason for it to be any harder.
Bottom line: there's no need to pay Avaya a cent for the root access. A little hacking will...
wawior85,
NICE supports such environments, there are two possible options: Passive VoIP recording with SIP protocol decoder and "line-side SIP" recording utilizing Acme Packet or Convergence Session Border Controllers. In such case, NICE is using SIP headers directly instead of CTI information...
Mike,
I'll chime with my $.02 again, may I? I've been working with NICE call recorders for oh, like five or six years now and I can say they're quite stable. They can be a royal PITA to install and set up but once you got 'em working, they just do. Well, mostly. Sometimes they misbehave but...
christ1981,
ch sys fe page 10, try changing "Level Of Tone Detection" field to "medium". use "list trace" to see if audible busy signal gets detected.
