Is it possible to use reason codes if EAS is turned off? Also when creating vector can you use available/staffed agents if
the agents are not defined by agent ID, they login with extensions using autodial button feature_code-extension and auto-in with feature_code-huntgrp.

Also I know ODBC is used to access historical table database, but how can I access real-time database?

There is no real-time database in CMS, you can only get real-time using RT-socket connections or using a dedicated PC to run real-time reports. I've also seen posts about using CLINT which I believe is a screen scraping method of getting the real-time data, but I've read it's a pain, hard to figure out and I just never wanted to take the time to figure it out.

avAyATEKky,

I'm not sure I remember correctly if reason codes can be used without EAS; I think you can use them but you'd have to have a CMS for reporting.

For historical data you don't have to use ODBC. You can access Informix database directly via Informix client over the network or locally on the CMS server. See my old article regarding the second way:
Stinney,

Just to be technically correct, there is a real-time database in CMS but Avaya does not provide interface to that database other than clint. In R9 and older there were other tools like dump_rtdb but they are no longer shipped with CMS.

Also clint is not exactly screen scraping, it's a report running tool that prints the data on stdout. Screen scraping terminal output is much messier than just reading text lines.

Nice article on the Informix nohuhu.
