Every line is in the default group 1 by default. That's why it is easy to set up night ringing. You dont have to input the lines.. You only have to input the set as the VM-DN. The lines are already there, which is why when he sets up her new DID, it is answered by the AA (since services are on...
I read your post one more time. You dont mention if she has a voice mail box currently, or if this is a "new" mbx that needs to be separate from one she already has. My previous solution would send the new DID to her current mbx (assuming she has one,) but she could have a "private line". For...
When you assign her this new DID, have you taken that target line out of the control group that every other line is in by default, which is how the services probably work now? So if 7251 is the set where the services are turned on and off at, then 7251 is most likely the control set for all the...
The CCR report will show the number of times each node was visited in the last 7 days. It only saves the data for the previous 7 days, so they would have to collect weekly.
It is all covered extensively in the manual.
The channels being busy would not cause the gen deliv to pick up, as the gen deliv needs a channel in order to answer. You need to check your settings; particularly any CFWD on busy. If you have a CFWD on busy, just disable it, as it is not needed.
sorry Hawks- I would love to give you some answer, but I don’t know a thing about UK stuff. From the UK posts I have read in this forum, I would agree with Biv, in that the software is definitely different. I have noticed UK even has a different software release numbering system.
I can’t tell from your post if you are planning on trying to install this yourself or not. If you are, then plan on being down indefinitely. The instructions are no meant for end-users.
If you want minimal down time, get a with a qualified Nortel vendor. Have them do a pre-install site survey...
yes- clearing the control will fix it, and yes two tenants can have separate night keys.
With the night keys, when you set up 2 services, f871 allows you to scroll through the named services until you find the one you want.
Just joking around above crooter-
Anyhow, as the people above have answered: Yes, there are differences between the cat5e and cat6 "plastic end that 8 wires fit into and then has to be crimped.
It sounds like you are saying that the only time you have the problem is when you try to use the T1 with your dest codes.
So, if you can dial the number without dest codes, it is not the provider. If you dial long distance over the t1 normally, and it works as you said, then the programming in...
If you want it to only answer at night, you have to do what RYLSFAN said (set up a ringing service.)
As Hawks said, the times only determine which greeting will play.
if you are talking about Nortel voice mail, I agree with byrontel, in that I think you are mistaken about how it used to work. (* would not get you to the gen deliv with Nortel)
