I'm really surprised by all this.
Can others please confirm this :
When a call is answered by AA and then transfered to a phone that DOES have an appearence for that Target line, it DOESN'T ring on the target line button but instead on the intercom ?!?!?!
IT's very important that calls go to AA first. It's the way they've been workin for years.
I'll give it a shot today countrytime to see if this will work.
If anyone else has idea's, let me know ..
Thanks !
Hi guys,
it's been a while since i've been here asking for help, but here I go again !
Customer has MICS with 7.0 software (maybe 7.1, sorry can't remember)
I just installed a PRI, with 3 DID's for 3 different companies. I setup the target line #'s 165, 166, and 167 with 6 button...
Thanks guys, as always you have really come through for me. I have made my quote, and now I play the waiting game until I get the OK.
I've been installing Norstar's for over 10 years, and whenever I get stumped or forget something, someone here is always there to help. I really appreciate it.
Hi all,
although i've always been reading, it's been a while since I've needed to pick your genius brains.

You need to check the demarcation point of the line, (with all other cabling disconnected) there are good chances the telco cut it by accident. Make sure there's not a Norstar Phone plugged into the power-fail jack.
Don't forget that the handsfree button on the E version is under the dialpad and NOT under the intercom's where it always has been in the past.
Is auto Handsfree enabled ?
When she hears his phone ring, she can do Feature 76 then dial his ext. # to answer the call ... A better way would be to put an ANSWER DN button on her phone for his extention. (Under Line Access in programming)
If you're forwarding the line using a telco feature, it's normal that you're not getting the caller id info at night ..
You need to program the set to display caller-id (same general area that you setup the call log space)
I don't know about STARTING with the 100 range, but you can change all your extentions to the 100 range as long as you change the CALL PARK LEAD DIGIT from 1 to something else.
The local telco here (BELL) says the same thing when trying to sell a system. They say the 0x32's, 8X24's are all discontinued and no longer supported by Nortel and therefore u must change ure system to a BCM.
Personally, it makes me look better when I can supply all the parts / equipment...
