Nice thing about BB's is the BES server where you can create policy and user groups that allow or restrict various aspects of the phone. Issue is, BB is real slow to the party as far as the devices and the app's its supports, which now forces the issue to look at Android or preferrably Apple. BB...
Have those phones been replaced? If so, you will need to update the subscriptions for the Emergin service which populates all the new MAC address' assigned to phones. We run into this when that step is skipped.
In GUI go to (heads up this will reset the phones with that subscription, pretty...
Most practices we have are now using Shortel IP based premise systems. The Shortel's have been pretty solid with just the typical MAC request's (name changes etc)

As John said, the more familiar you become with your switch the better. Can start with starting a morning routine and go from there. Can also do cool things like call traces, watching D-Channel messages etc.
ld 22

ahst or vhst (this gives you a good idea what your switch is doing)

Why do you want to restart the call manager service after loading new licenses?
Do you have 1 call manager or cluster? If 1, yes, your phones will re-register (prob 5 min)
If you have a cluster, phones will register to next cucm in line, then once the service restart is complete the phones will...
Thanks I've been checking out timer sections, and documentation is clear as mud on some of the settings. Call Manager can do some cool stuff, but some stuff just isn't as simple/obvious to fix like in legacy switches. Thanks again
TN printout looks differant on an acquired set vs one that is not. To see the differance,
print (ld20) a agent phone that is being used and acquired, then do the same for a TN that you just de-acquired in cc.
About how many nortel phones in that DID range are there? You would build route patterns for this that would route back to the nortel. I'm guessing since you can call some nortel extensions from Cisco you have route partitions/lists built to point back to the nortel.
The route patterns can be...
On a 7925g phone, in UCS 8.5 have call forward no answer/busy/off etc set to route externally to PSTN and dial a pager. The routing works, but the caller only hears 1 beep of the pager number and not all the typical pager tones (beep, beep, beep) which would alert caller that they have connected...

I believe we set ours up as qsig. We had more issues with a vendor not knowing how to configure their audio codes gateway. So if you have issues getting circuit turned up after building standard qsig setup, check the gateway configs on the audio codes side.
Thanks for the reply. Yes both numbers are coming in on same pri. Ome is just the lead billing number for the circuit and doesn't terminate anywhere, and the other DID sits on a phone.
Can you eloborate on what you mean when you said the css are flat? I'm assuming this means they're generic...
Have 8.5 cluster across several locations. Users DID, 3040, matches the last 4 on the main PRI billing number (differant prefix)and is getting calls routed to them. Ex. main billing number is 446.3040, and the DID of phone is 687.3040. Since main billing number resides on PSTN PRI, seems call...
Do you have a MDR-2000 buffer box? If so, check LED's on box particularly the BFL (means the buffer is full) May need to power cycle box/check box settings.
True using putty to access your switch. Free to download, just google, and simple to use.
Once connected to your switch with putty, you'll be prompted for login (pbx login you use) then password. If that jives, some text will display and that's where you type in cslogin <cr> then enter your...
