From another thread -

Reynold's Wrap never earned universal name that Xerox, Kleenex, or Q-Tips did, at least not where I grew up.

So other then Xerox, Kleenex, and Q-tips. Can you think of any other universal names?

No, I meant Bobby Kennedy--but you guys just ran with it.

...and of course I was referring to, at the same time the movie starring Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfus. Baby steps, so yes anotherhiggins, good catch.

er,

did I start a little mix-up here? I feel bad about that, and must clarify.

If Bob's short for Kate, she should keep looking. And I have absolutely no idea who "Jay" is. Perhaps the suggester can provide, dare I say it, a reeference. Since this is basically a technical forum, I was referring to "Bobbing" for Apples. The ones with large screens called, er, Big Macs.

I used to sort of like a band named "White Snake" and a British sit-com called "Black Adder." Ironic, isle agree.

As for "Sebastion," look up "Que Sarah Sarah Michelle Gellar."

Something about cruel intention.

Tim

Archie... Jay and Silent Bob are something of a GenX version of Penn and Teller minus the magic tricks and actual talent.

They are in movies such as Mall Rats, Clerks, Clerks 2, Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back, Dogma.

Basically you have Jay, who is completely crude and Silent Bob who doesn't say anything, just sort of backs up Jay.

Lunatic,

A bit late, perhaps, but Welcome to Tek-Tips.

We tend to mostly enjoy each others' talents around MAI, sort of like a neighborhood cookout. Folks helping folks. If you don't mind, can you bring ice to the next meeting? I'll send you the recipe.

BTW, I'd love some examples of "Jay's" crudeness. You sounded very authoritaive, like someone who knows what they're talking about.

Oh, and since [red] I AM "SILENT BOB" [/red]I'd be especially interested in hearing your brilliant take on what exactly I "haven't" said in my last 820 posts.

BTW, if I'm "GenX" you must be "Gen96." To clarify, I was born in the early 60's, and you remind me of a ten-year old.

Okay, I'm rather confused at the moment.

1) I'm not sure what you are getting at with [blue]"BTW, I'd love some examples of "Jay's" crudeness. You sounded very authoritaive, like someone who knows what they're talking about."[/blue] Are you actually looking for examples?

2) [blue]"Oh, and since I AM "SILENT BOB" I'd be especially interested in hearing your brilliant take on what exactly I "haven't" said in my last 820 posts."[/blue] - When did I call you Silent Bob?

3) [blue]"BTW, if I'm "GenX" you must be "Gen96." To clarify, I was born in the early 60's, and you remind me of a ten-year old."[/blue] - Again, I'm not sure where you're going with this. I thought it was pretty clear I was referencing the duo of Jay and Silent Bob versus the duo of Penn and Teller. I don't ever remember saying you were a GenX-er.

4) So either there is a rather signficant communication failure here or your attempts at humor passed me by.

P.S. I think it might be rather fun to build an refrigeration unit, especially the type they used to the freeze the ground in Boston when constructing the Ted Williams Highway.

They are in movies such as Mall Rats, Clerks, Clerks 2, Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back, Dogma.

You forgot Chasing Amy, and they also had a cameo in some other non-Kevin Smith movie, but I don't remember the name.
