From another thread -

Reynold's Wrap never earned universal name that Xerox, Kleenex, or Q-Tips did, at least not where I grew up.

So other then Xerox, Kleenex, and Q-tips. Can you think of any other universal names?

Chapstick

The term 'dumpster' could pretty much be used to describe any non-man-portable steel bin for garbage--of any size.

Not really building blocks like Lego or Megablocks but does anyone remember Lincoln Logs?

You could build fences or the walls of a log cabin with the pieces that looked like logs with notches cut at the ends.

My daughter has a big tub of them. They still make them, but everything but the logs are plastic :-(

I was Able to play with Lincoln logs back in the '60's (1960's).

I thought they were, you know, groovy.

Sorry,
Tim

Sorry,

My reference to the "1960's" may have led some to think of the Cainnedy administration. Came-alot, indeed. How ironic that it was followed by the "Johnson" administration. The next dude, what was his first name? Never mind.

I won't mention "Teddies" or the meaning of Jackie's "O."

Is that "Silent Bob" with his mate Jay ????

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

No "Bob" is short for Kate

(if that hasn't thrown nearly everyone outside of the UK, then I don't know what will).

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.
