same problem for me.
pre-recorded (talent) message as auto-attendant greeting goes directly to the timeout destination in the middle of the recording sometimes after a reboot.

After setting up the S8700 accordingly, issue the "testinads" command from the bash prompt and then disconnect the PPP connection as soon as possible.

I gave you a star. Thank you very much. I am using a Merlin Legend R7.0 with a Merlin Messaging R1.
Message lights did not work until I set the ports as RotaryEnable.
I don't suppose you have an expalnation why this worked.

Yes, overseas calls ring correctly and complete with no problem.
SBC says it may have to do with the "name" format I am sending with the setup message.

Calls made to a busy number in the US get a busy signal, calls made to a busy number OUTSIDE the US get dead air. This is an SBC(SNET) circuit configured as custom.

We use AlarmTraq to monitor all our Avaya systems via SNMP traps or traditional INADS. It will report all traps received and filter the alarms before notifying the techs via pagers, email, blackberry or web.

Take a look at AlarmTraq http://www.alarmtraq.com I have been using it for the last few months and it works great.
Works with all Avaya products via standard modem, PPP or SNMP. The newest release even works with our IP Office systems.
