To all,
I am running HPov NNM Release B.06.20 on Windows 200 Server. Currently when I lunch the NNM application the event views freezes when it begins to load the eventDB. It gets to about 14% and crashes. HPOV is still working fine.
Any Ideas.
Thanks for the Help

Ok here is one way of doing it. The simplest way. You need to configure two port on each switch into VLAN 2. Then you need a cross over cable to connect each. The better way is to create a 802.1q trunk between each of the VLANs and trunk vlan 1 and 2.
I maybe wrong on this I haven't worked on MPLS in a while and I don't have access to a lap big enough to test this. Also I maybe a little off on how traceroute works. But I think your assumption of not being able to see the transit network in MPLS could be wrong. In the routing table your...
I agree with vipergg. CDP can really help save time trouble shooting.
just dont run it on any outside facing routers. The routers infront of the firewall should not run CDP.
Cisco does not care anything about profiles. You can not do what your looking to do at this time. You can use VTP to configure based on a mac address but profiles are well outside what Cisco supports.
It's also not a greate idea to have all your circuits on one line. If the DS-3 goes down your whole office will be down. You really need atleast 8 T-1 before you consider using a DS-3. ALso you will have to pay the same charges for a lot of the port charges for the T-1's they break off. You...
NO the clockrate doesn't limit the bandwidth it switches the line to internal clock. To limit the bandwidth you need to set up rate limiting. See Cisco's web site on how to do this. It's not to hard.
U and W usually are special loads for special features. Either use the W code or go to the next point release. 12.1. You can try 12.0.7 as well but the code may not have been ported. You can check out a entire white paper cisco wrote on the IOS Numbering and releases. You can get it from CCO.
The standard in most large enterprises, who have upgraded, today is to go with all layer 3 switching in the core. Basically what your doing. I would configure each switch as it's own VLAN and assign a subnet to each one. You will have to take into consideration on how large your subnet should...
No you have to turn portfast on every port. Check out the web site on how to config portfast enable on the the 2948. It's something like spanning-tree portfast enabled. You have to do it for each interface. I don't think the 2948 uses range commands.
You can write a perl script to create the...
