I have the following configuration:

Cisco "A" 3550
VLAN 1: 172.16.16.191 (Gi0/1-11)
VLAN 2: no ip (Gi0/12) <---> Workstation
| XXX.YYY.ZZZ.135/32
|
|
Cisco "B" 3550
VLAN 1: 172.16.8.191 (Gi0/1-11)
VLAN 2: no ip (Gi0/12) <---> Cisco "C" 2900
No IP
|
|
|
XXX.YYY.ZZZ.129/24

What I would like to do (read "need to do") is to use port Gi0/12 on the 3550s to bridge IP traffic between the single workstation on the "A" side and the 2900 switch on the B side.

I've tried various configurations but something appears to be missing and I've reviewed much of the CISCO documentation but so far, nothing has worked.

Can anyone suggest a solution or reference?

Thanks in advance.

Ok here is one way of doing it. The simplest way. You need to configure two port on each switch into VLAN 2. Then you need a cross over cable to connect each. The better way is to create a 802.1q trunk between each of the VLANs and trunk vlan 1 and 2.
