It sounds like you need to get a new video card your friend has a good suggestion on trying to blow the dust off it first.But i have a freind who rund a 8mb vid card on his system and the colors are often distorted.Your problem could also be how many hertz your monitor hertz your vid card is...

If your getting windows xp you can buy a data link cable and transfer all of your files over.

Did you put your take his driver files off of it becuse if you hooked it up to his then you acuiered his drivers for all of his hardware.

Actually i have a p4 1.8 but i built a amd xp 1.7 for my brother and i am more impressed with his over mine.

Cheak out AMD XP 1.7 or higher they are alot better and alot cheaper for instance a amd xp 1.7 will run the same as about a p4 2.1 just a small fraction underneath that.

You can format it and have him register it in his name as far as i know.I have bought plenty of computers with a os included from indaviduals.Although xp has taken some new measures to prevent pirated copys i dont think you will have any problems.

Although if you got this big nice cd drive you want to use i would just suggest going out and buying another internal cd drive there cheap like $50.00 for a 52x.

Well if your planninng on addind alot you will need a big psu the standered is 300so you should do good with the 430 considering you are adding alot of extras.Might as well thorw a neonlight in it while your at it with a cut off side.

well icant remeber who puts it out but they actually make a water coliant system im not sure how it works thou.But dont let that get you down becuse if its a variant there of you could still market it well if thats what your wanting to do.
