win98 internet connection

Hi guys.
I have a computer running win98. Today when it started up, it just could not acces the internet. What can be wrong? The network cable is connected properly. I used the "winipcfg" menu and renewed the whole ip structure, but it didnt helped at all. Any suggestions??

It could be that your isp was to busy.Did you get any kind of error message?

ISP??
I´ve restarted the pc 3-4 times, after trying different things. " times it came and said, "No domain server is available", and I could´ent even acces the other machines on LAN.

Have you checked your network cable, make sure it is attached. Also, you NIC, (network interface card) is it working? Try to "ping" another PC on your LAN.

If you are connected through the Server , and the Server is Down .. You will not be able to connect to the LAN with your Win98 PC ..
