Hello All,
Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve logged into the forum and it looks like a lot has changed. I had a customer ask me a question about his voicemail which I believe it’s a Startalk but it could be a Callpilot 100 but it’s been so long ago I honestly cannot remember. Anyway he asked...
Curly is right, once you deleted the voicemails there is you way to regain them again.

Where are you located? Cause I would definitely get a Nortel technician out there to take a look at it.

OLI# - Just deals with displaying what shows on outside number dialing hence (OUTGOING LINE IDENTIFICATION)
I would personally use Telco to handle displaying the name you want to display.

Few questions:
What model Norstar do you have?
What software release do you have?
Do you have any prior experience with programming Norstar products?
Let's start there first..

Firebird, I tried every way possible to change the TND to no avail. I know usually you can set it to trunk and it auto updates once a call comes in but not on this system.?
Bluemr2, I haven't heard of that procedure before but I will give it a try.

In all honesty if you haven't performed this type of work before I wouldn't go into this situation alone.

Long story short I'm trying to update the time and date on this BCM 50 System ( New install ) and the changes simply will not stay. I've tried just about every possible way to go about doing this ie. via EM, via telset etc to now avail. I wanna say that I've came across this problem sometime...

I'm sure they designed it that way knowing if the SYSID did in fact change you would have to contact them to resolve the issue in return making a nice fee for doing it. I personally have done numerous REINSTALLS for this very same reason and never had a problem, maybe I've been lucky?
Jeremy...
Or do as many of us have in the past by installing a phone in the telco room for situations like this.

The proper way is the RESTART the system and voicemail to make for a cleaner install. That's the route I would personally take.

If you're on site change the system time to 5 and then call the extension. I'm banking on some sort of user error/misuse.

As soon as the message starts try dialing that extension to see if it works.

From what you've saying I don't think you're using a CCR, if you were you would be pressing a single digit versus dialing the whole extension so with that said it appears you just have a basic AA setup. First thing to check is make sure the extension that you're calling is really that extension...
If you don't know the system then I'm not to sure why you think you are going to be able to fix the problem? By no means can you just guess where the problem lies.

Take a look at the alarm logs and see what is going on there. If it ends up being a HTC issue it couldn't hurt to do a backup of the system that way you have a copy in case the system fails.

If you're asking what krs is then you should definitely contact someone who is more knowledgeable about bcm systems.

Most T-1's tend to be pins 1,2,4,5 orange pair on 1,2 and blue pair on 4,5.
