What is the topology of your network like? What is the speed of your network? How fast are the switches? You may want to use one as an access point. What kind of routers are you using?

You can convert the sound to a different format (.mp3 etc) by using an audio converter. You can put the sound into a flash file but that will prompt IE if the user doesn't have flash player installed.

This one is good for up to 2 KM which is over a mile. It will be more than sufficient for your application.

WS_FTP is free... I have downloaded it before from downloads.com. You can also set up an FTP on your system to upload the file.

are you able to edit the program? You can redirect your website in the control panel. You will need access to the website to do that. It sounds like you have access to it if you are changing the website in the next month or two... so hopefully it is a specific page within that site that can...
Do they go down at the same times every day? Perhaps you can do some testing with traceroute and see if heavier traffic is an issue.

Export the file in a movie format instead of .swf format. Go to File > Export > Export Movie. Use the drop down combo box to change Save As file type.

Using a flash player to stream the .mp3 would prevent users from being able to download the .mp3 to their computer. The would be able to play the song through the website and that's it because they wouldn't be able to source the file.

Look up embed mp3 player on a search engine. Quicktime is a free one. You can also just use flash for that. There are a lot of free ones out there.

You could also use the eraser tool to cut it in half. How did you go about it in fireworks? Have you checked out tutorials on adobe.com? They probably have other ways to go about it.

You are going to want to map up the hardware MAC addresses to the static IP address. You will probably be using table resolution lookup. You may want to do a google search on those terms for the software you need. Good Luck.

You can also do a google search to find the function you need to use.

Try experimenting and see what you think looks best. Since white is a light color on a darker color green, perhaps you should try light yellow.

Have you tried looking up port forwarding in the user's Manual? I suggest a test of disabling your antivirus and/or kapersky and seeing if that works.
