I don't know how many spare numbers you have, but you could program the spare numbers as a VDN or a Virtual Station and label it Spare Unassigned Nbr or something similar. You would need to remove the VDN or station though when you need to assign the spare number to an actual device.
No, sorry I don't know of a way to do this with the issue of an extension only ringing once in a coverage path before 6.3.
You could extend the number of rings before the call goes to the second point of coverage, for example have the coverage answer group ring 4-5 times before going to point...
Yes, that is how the ringing works with coverage answer groups. If you have a CM 6.3 though there is a Special Application that you can turn on - SA9123/Re-Ring CAG Members in Adjacent Coverage Points which would do exactly what you want.
If you’re sure that you have an active, and recorded, greeting set for ALL call types for mailbox 67500, then maybe you have some automated-attendant routing in place on the Audix system?
67500 may cover to the Audix system but the automated-attendant routing may be routing to a different day...
Audix mailboxes have a choice of using the same greeting for all calls, or can be set for different greetings for different call types and out-of-hours.
If you have activated the call types feature, then you have to have a personal greeting recorded for each call type when it is an automated...
On your trace, the call gets to step 6 which sends the call directly to step 20. Step 20 plays an announcement and step 21 sends the call somewhere else.
Do you have the queue to skill step between steps 6 and 20? If so, step 6 is bypassing them by sending the call to step 20. If not, where...
The auto-attendant you are using for transferring to extensions is actually using an Announcement/ VDN/Vector on your CM, not the voicemail system.
To dial by name you are transferring the caller to an automated attendant mailbox on the voicemail system when the caller presses 7 from the...
The reason you're getting the new "attendant service not available" message could be because the auto attendant mailbox doesn't have a personal greeting recorded and activated.
Do you have an auto attendant working that allows transfer to extension dialed instead of transfer/call answer to name...
That could be I guess - but you mentioned that calls to the guest rooms cover to the lodging mailbox but when they try to login they to go an Audix mailbox? Is this something that was working before or is it new?
You could try to trace a call directed to a guest room to see if it gives you...
It's been well over 10 years since I've seen any Lodging as well! On the guest room phones I think they just have to have a COS with Client Room enabled.
When you add mailboxes, depending on your design, regular users are usually added under the Audix menu - add subscriber xxxx. Guest room...
I'm not sure of your lodging version, but usually to log in to a lodging mailbox you call a phantom number that covers to the hunt group, or a VDN that routes to the hunt group instead of the Audix hunt group directly. The station or VDN could be labeled Guest Lodging or something similar...
Usually a guest doesn't need to enter a password when they're checking messages from within their room, only from a phone outside of their room.
If you are using a PMS integration with your Lodging the PMS sometimes is set to assign a password when the guest checks in,
There are 2 different...
If the restriction is Toll you should be able to place 911 calls, and local calls. A couple of things to check -
First, on system parameters features there is a field - "Controlled Toll Restriction replaces.....". Is there an entry in this field?
Can the room place local calls? If not you...
If your switch is using a PMS system, usually the PMS applies Controlled Outward Restriction when the room is vacant, and removes the restriction when the room is checked in.
You could verify this by doing a status station of a checked out and checked in room to see what the Control Restrictions...
If I remember correctly, I don't think calls answered via a coverage answer group work the same on Bridged Appearance buttons.
What your may be able to do is change 1900 from a virtual station to something else so you can add a few bridged appearance buttons of 1900 on the 2 stations.
Just a stab in the dark here, but what type of Message Waiting Indicator on the station form do you have. Just wondering if it could be your vmail system doing a MWI refresh/check. Older sets could have had neon Message Waiting Indicators and the new sets just need to have led Message...
You can also check the auto-attendant routing table on the Audix, and business and holiday tables. The incoming digits of that user may have been used previously to assign a day, night or holiday attendant or bulletin board message.
How do you have your 6 park stations programmed? If they are analog x-ported stations to see the light when a call is parked you would need to turn on "busy indicator for call parked on analog station without hardware" on page 2 of console-parameters.
