We are maintaining a hotel with a G3. Occasionally a few of the analog stations will have a phantom half ring every 15 minutes like clock work. We swapped the ports to different ports on different cards, tested at the frame. Deleted and reprogrammed the extension. Nothing shows in the station monitor when it rings.

The ring is somewhat low voltage because it will ring the new cheap phones but not the old cheap ones! This led me to believe it was the station test feature so we turned that off. Still ringing.

Any ideas? This one is driving us crazy!

Just a stab in the dark here, but what type of Message Waiting Indicator on the station form do you have. Just wondering if it could be your vmail system doing a MWI refresh/check. Older sets could have had neon Message Waiting Indicators and the new sets just need to have led Message Waiting Indicators?

Thank you for your input Bleebrant. We wound up turning off all of the testing on the card and the problem went away. Probably combination of cross talk in the amphenol cable and piece of junk cordless phones.
