I think that you may have 2 problems here.
1) the plugins are to be used with higher colour images than only 256. If you need to use a plugin effect on a gif file, convert it to 24 or 32 bit color in PhotoPaint first.
2) If it is "not installed" keep in mind that the plugins have to...
Better late than never! ;-)
When you copy & paste an object, it is going to the windows clipboard, and the clipboard does not support transparencies. This is why you are getting the white rectangle.
A third option would be to use the Bitmape Color Mask option in Draw. It is under the...
There are only three types of objects that you are able to export from Bryce. They are rocks, lattice and terrains. That is it. To export these objects, simply click on the letter "E" (when the object is selected). Then press CTRL D on the keyboard and the export windows will come...
Download service pack 1 and install it. Next, you will want to locate the corelapp.ini file on your hard drive. Open this file in notepad. At the very bottom of the file, add the following, just as you see it here
[Bitmap Tile Manager]
UseRootForSwap=0
Save the file and restart Draw.
With the application closed down, hold down the F8 key and then start CorelDRAW. Leave your finger on the F8 key untill you see a message that asks if you want to overwrite the workspaces. Answer yes to this message. There you go. Menus are back.
You have given little info. What version of Draw? What O/S? that being said....
Have him launch the program with the F9 key held down (not F8). Does he still get the error? If this solves the problem, the problem is with the installed component of VBA. Remove VBA and re install.
If doing...
Two questions.
1) You say that you cannot open the file but that you can in Draw. What application are you trying to open it in that you get the red "X"?
2) What version of Draw?
3) If it is Draw 11, are you exporting as a JPG2000?
OK, that's three questions.

Absolutly correct. It is Win2K. Draw 7 was never designed for it, and as such, there are a number of issues that may arise. My suggestion would be going to version 11.
As a last ditch effort, one thing that you may want to try would be to reset the defaults for the application. It is not as...
Sometimes the font information is in the styles. Export the file out as a CMX and then import it into a new document. This will strip the styles out and you will not have Panose font matching complain about missing fonts
I currently do not have Bryce installed (had to re-format)....But, if you turn off the sun and atmosphere, use a light source and in the light lab, tell it not to cast shadows, that may work. Sorry, but not able to test it out. Hope it works for you.

You make a couple of interesting observations.
1) "According to Adobe support Distiller creates the pdf file more direct approach to pdf postscript languge" - - - You must have been speaking to first level support. Corel was actually instrumental in the creation of Postscript...
All the posts to this are valid, however you have not mentioned what version of Windows you are using. Normally this would not make a difference, but my guess is that you are using XP.
CorelDRAW 8 clipart uses Media folders. XP cannot properly see these. There are 2 options.

D9 does not have the problem, however the current version designed to run on XP is ver 11. That being said, if you want an economical solution and do not need to print seperations, or import DXF files, there is a Draw essentials that will run on XP and is a "scaled down" version of D9...
You are in for an adventure. Bryce is awsome!.
That being said, here is something that you may find useful. Use the row of number keys across the top of the keyboard to change views.
1, 2, 3, 4, ~ these will change the various views and allow easier placement of objects. The "~"...
I have a "NEC 3 in 1" and am trying to find a driver for it to use on W2000 or XP. The NEC 3 in 1 is a CDROM drive, burner and PD Drive. It is the PD Drive "portion" that I want to be able to access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do disrespect intended, but tjd obviously does not know of what they say!
In CorelDRAW 11, with the pick tool selected, the interactive property bar holdes the settings for duplicate distance. It rests between nudge offset and snap to grid.

To perform a print merge, you must create an ANSI text file (.TXT file extension) that contains the information you want to merge with the drawing.
To prepare a text file for print merge
1. Launch a word processor, and open a new file.
2. On the first line, indicate how many pieces of text...
