Auto FX Photo Edges

To whom it may concern:
I am trying to use the Photo Edges in CorelDraw 8 . I downloaded it properly, rebooted, imported a .gif photo, clicked on Plug-ins, and the flyout says in gray, "Not Installed"

I've also tried to get it to work in Corel-Photo, but will not show up.

Any suggestions?

I think that you may have 2 problems here.

1) the plugins are to be used with higher colour images than only 256. If you need to use a plugin effect on a gif file, convert it to 24 or 32 bit color in PhotoPaint first.

2) If it is "not installed" keep in mind that the plugins have to be in a certain folder. Make sure that the .8bf file and the other associated files are in the plugins folder. In PhotoPaint, you will also have to go to tools options and plugins and tell the application where the plugin is located.
