I have worked on several other systems most will but the Norstar does not know the difference between an intercom, line ringing at the set even do it has a different ring pattern when it comes to call forward.
It changed the phone from 275 to 209, but all of the settings for 275 moved over to 209. So when you dial 275 you get a not in service. I need 275 to ring at some phones in the Field department.
When you remove the working extension in this case 275 all answer DN will not work.
The only time the system keeps an extension active is when an ATA is connected to that extension.
Plug an ATA on 275 and you are set to go.
It does say to allow another telephone to join.

I know what you mean I have worked on phone systems since 1978, but when I go to the Avaya forums it is all Greek to me the terminology they use, so if you come from Avaya the world must look different.
I believe the 3x8 are set relocate on by default, no setting to change.
You should be able to cancel call forward with the code.
