Hi there, not sure if this is of any help, but I had problems with SIP extensions and trunks trying to use RTP ports outside of the 49152 to 53246 set under System-LAN1-VoIP tab.
Reading above, speech path problems etc. No audio will happen if they don't try streaming in the same range ay...
I'm using a standard linksys PAP2 over an ADSL link for a warehouse cordless analogue phone running in Christchurch off the system in Auckland. Seems to run really well. It is the only phone/ device on the end of the VPN link most of the time except one PC doing RDP back to Auckland too...
have had the right half of a DS module stop working as result of the power pack being older type.. they have little green stickers on the newer style ones here in NZ.

Hi Greg,
is it same result from more than one pc with manager 4.1 on it? all the easy things like firewall taken out of the equation? bootp must be ok to see 4.1 avail...?

checkout marketingtools.avaya.com/knowledgebase and goto the Installation, IP Office, then section F for EU24.
Has a good wee diagram.
Power is on pins 7 & 8 i think, although no pinouts on that page.. so 2 wire lead only going to give a signal on 4 & 5, with a big air gap on 7 & 8..
Cheers,
I haven't tried it, but for those smaller situ's, could the ddi be sent to the primary user WITH multiple appearances, and secondary user has coverage of that user? rather than using groups..
you'd lose hunt group message individuality? ie queue ddi and reception user mailbox all the same...
You guys rock.. dunno where in the world ya are? but good to see a sense of humour in an otherwise endless line of problems... that aren't our fault incidentally!

It'll be the cable!! hahahha. I've done this and looked like a dork trying to make it work with a 2 wire lead!!
In other words, use the 8 wire leads that came with it, and you'll be fine.. I was in too much of a hurry. Less haste more speed.
Let us know, I'm sure i'm not the only one who's done...
I had a system not long ago that would reboot randomly and voicemail go down indefinitely, and found out that it was the firewall/VPN box giving out DHCP addresses to remote workers that coincided with the Static IP addy of the voicemail server in that case.
