    I agree with HarrisD1200... you need to call the lec/clec that provides the DID service, and ask them to change the 'name' for each of the DID's in question, if they're willing to do so. (again assuming service in the US)

    You cannot get 'name' on a plain T1 either. If the carrier will support ANI delivery on T1 then you could get a number (ani or cpn depending on carrier) but many LECs will not provide that service.

    Or upgrade your trunking so a specific DID is transmitted to the PSAP. If you use PRI for oubound 911 calls, that's the least expensive way. Other option would be CAMA trunks, but that gets expensive. See if your LEC offers a PS/ALI product which would allow you to have the PSAP identify...

    You have to have 'reliable disconnect' enabled, or have trunk modules that have disconnect supervision. If the system knows that it can't supervise the trunks, it won't allow you to 'drop off'.
