    Adding IP 500

I know some basics of using IP Office. This is just a bit beyond my experience level.

    Adding IP 500

Can anyone give my a little guidance or a pointer? I'm trying to extend our phone system to another building. The buildings are connected via fiber. There's an IP 500 in each building. What do I need to do to make the IP 500s work with each other, allow inter-building and outside calling, etc?

    IP address issues

Two machines can have the same IP address as long as they are in a private subnet and are not in the same subnet. For example, there are no doubt millions of computers with the IP address of 192.168.1.100, because that's what Linksys uses for the beginning of their default DHCP IP address...

Why do i keep getting PCFS failures on my BSTDX9000s?

It's likely that a CP40 is bad and needs to be replaced. However, version 4 firmware is ancient. It may well be a bug, but if it is, it's probably fixed in a later version (the current version is 8).

    Site update using SSH FTP

I have never been able to get this to work. I am manually updating my site using Filezilla, which supports SSH. This does not have the automatic site update features that DWMX offers, but at least I can update the site.

Naviscore trunks are black and should be green. How do i fix it?

If you are running NavisCore via XWindows, then required X resources are not being loaded onto X Windows server (the UNIX machine or X terminal you are viewing the map on) NavisCore uses green for an Up trunk color but HP Openview displays them as black by default. The machine you are...

Ping permanent ip addy but no reply?

It does not necessarily mean that the router was not connected. It may be that someone along the way, perhaps your ISP or the remote end ISP, is discarding pings. This is being done more and more routinely to prevent ping floods and other denial of service attacks one network connections. You...

    Palm OS Database Program

There is an open-source Palm DB available called Polit-DB: http://pilot-db.sourceforge.net/ It's free, and has plugins that support databases in JFile and MobileDB. I just ran across this a few days ago, and I've downloaded all sorts of DBs (from www.memoware.com) that all seem to work...

    Site update using SSH FTP

Thank you for the suggestion. I apologize for not being clearer. PuTTY and plink are the files that I installed as per the instructions on the Macromedia web site with the link you provided. I am unable to get the SSH FTP to establish a connection with the error I described earlier.

    Site update using SSH FTP

The hosting site that I use requires that files be uploaded using Secure (SSH) FTP. I can't get this to work with DWMX. I have installed the "plink" widget as suggested by Macromedia. When I click Connect To Remote Host, a window pops up that says "Please click OK after SSH...

    Can you Repeat ToDos?

I don't think that you can repeat To Dos with the Palm DataBook application. Have a look at one of the Datebook extension applications like Datebk4/5. I'm using Datebk5 on my Tungsten|C and love it.

IP impact on ipx network - test question -please help!!

IPX and TCP/IP are separate protocols that do not interact, and the test question is probably designed to see if you understand that. They should have no effect on each other except, as inikis mentioned, one protocol is putting such a load on the network that it affects the other. There is...
