    Groupwise 2018

Looking for a good solution to prevent data loss. Currently running one domain on SLES 12.4 server. Thinking of creating a secondary domain on a Win 2016 server that is already doing a lot of work (DHCP, DNS, FileServer, Accounting Apps, HyperV server running apps). Server has 16GB ram. Is this...

    1000mb Switch and Load Balancing

Thanks. I'll give it a try. We move a lot of large pdf files around and having some more bandwidth should be a great luxury.

    1000mb Switch and Load Balancing

Hello I've been running NW6.5 with IP utilizing two Intel 100/1000 NICs that top out at 100 full duplex, because I am connecting them to an unmanaged 24-port 10/100 switch (which then links to two other 24-port switches) and I can only use ALB for balancing. I am thinking of replacing at least...

    installing novell

I'll assume you have a primary drive C and a secondary drive D. For purposes of a Novell install, you unplug the power from drive C. Drive D will now appear on reboot as C, if not use fdisk from a Dos 6.2 boot floppy and create at least a 250mb partitian. Install Novell to that drive. Then plug...

    installing novell

I am not sure what you are attempting to do. However, assuming you are trying to experiment with creating a Novell server, why Netware 4? Download a newer demo version of 6.5. If you want to use it on a Win98 machine, you should disable your primary (Win98) harddrive and install to a different...

Weird Problem: NDPS, Windows XP and a LJ 4 printer

Does the user have rights to the group assigned to the NDPS printer? Are you using the latest HP drivers from that users' machine for that printer? Seems to me that Novell reported a problem with certain HP drivers for WinXP and Win2000 if your HP4 is in fact a 4si. Are you using HP of Novell...

GW6.5 using GWTSA and BackupExec 9.1 PROBLEMS

This thread is a bit old, but if it is still of interest to anyone. I was having similar problem and just the other day solved it by installing the latest BackupExec patch for 9.1.

Converting CCmail archives to Lotus Notes

I know of no way to convert. BUT, we swithed from cc:mail 8.4 to Groupwise 6.0 and many people had archives which they could not access once the cc:mail post office was closed. Our work around was to re-install cc:mail client with the mobile mode features and then access the archives on cdrom...

Windows XP Refuses to Run ConsoleOne ver 1.3.6

Hello I had a similar problem a few monthes ago. I cannot recall for sure how I resolved it, but I think I upgraded JAVA from Sun. There is also a patch for the 4.9 client available. If these things do not work, I would reinstall the ConsoleOne files, might be that a dll was overwritten when...

Netware 4.12 to 6.5 - Good or Bad?

I just went from NW4.11 to NW6 sp3. I went from IPX to a pure IP environment. There is nothing wrong about using both IPX and IP, but I just figured I'd rather bite the bullet and switch, since I have no need for IPX. I use Portlock and it works great for both for NW4.11 and NW6. I'd read the...

    2nd Gateway Under autoexec.ncf

Hello Does anyone have any info on the commands to use to setup a secondary IP gateway under autoexec? Last week my DSL gateway went down (back in business now) but I would like to have a failover situation such that if the primary gateway is down the smtp e-mail and internet access would...

    GW6 Webaccess design question...

I'm not sure about the complicated questions, but I had a similar problem with a Win2000 IIS Box Webaccess App outside of the firewall calling an internal IP address. The only way I could fix it is to reinstall the App on the Win2000 IIS Box and instead of inserting an IP address, I put in a...

    GW6 Webaccess on Win2000 IIS

Hello, I am trying to install GW6 Webaccess Application on a Win2000 IIS Webserver. I want to put the IIS Webserver out in front of a firewall. Will this work? 1) Does GW6 Webaccess Application have to be on a box physically mapped to the Server with Webaccess Agent? 2)Does the IIS Webserver...

Login to NW6 Using WinXP Dial-up VPN w/ Client 4.9

Hello I am trying to login to a new Netware 6 server from home. I want to Login to NW6 using the WinXP Dial-up VPN. This used to work perfectly for a NW4.11 Server with IPX. New server has IP only. I've reinstalled the NW 4.9 client for IP only. Client establishes the VPN connection perfectly...

    Error when installing NW6SP3

I had this same problem. Tech had me run dsrepair a couple times until no errors. Then when logging experiment with variations of the full context name. examples if your org unit = bigco ,and tree = pine ,context = home .admin.bigco.home.pine when I finally got it to work, I had to leave off...
