IP400 units work but if you have any issues, the defects/bugs will be rejected by Avaya.
46xx/54xx/56xx endpoints work but are not supported anymore. You have the binaries in AdminCD therefore you can use them but you will not get any Avaya support for those endpoints.

If I understood correctly, the IPO and 96x0 phone are in the same network. If this is the case, set an IP address for the phone (manually) and try to ping from SSA the 96x0 phone. Do you have echo/ping reply? If yes, then the phone does not have the right IP address for the call server.

When a release has so many features it is impossible to make sure everything is working fine. It is a nasty issue what you are describing here but given the fact that in release 8.1 and 9.0 there were a LOT more features than in other releases, issues like this are a bit difficult to avoid...
I have both xLite and eyeBeam opened (running) and I was able to make a clean install for IP Office SoftPhone...
What OS so you use? I use Win XP SP2... and will try later on Win Vista Ultimate SP1 to see... :)

tlpeter, it creates the extension but it will delete it after 3 minutes (180 seconds) - you can verify in Sysmon! You can use exit or logout; it is the same! :)

This looks very similar to Polycom SoundStation2 and this one works with IP Office.
PS: Does the phone support SIP Firmware? If yes, then you can register it!

I'm 75% sure they said they tested/qualify for 1000 users but there is no limit... I believe you can go up to 3000 users easily!
For your testing use sipp and try to register on each of your 32 nodes about 100 users and you'll see that your IP Offices are still up and running prefect!! :)...
Did you try to swap between DS8s? Maybe it is the slot, maybe it is a faulty module?

All the SIP Trunks have (almost) the same configuration! If you experiente problems post them here and maybe we can help!
PS: NEVER give the real passwords and/or numbers. replace them with other words! ;)

What you need to get from your provider is:
- Proxy Server Address (and/or domain Name);
- Username / Number;
- VoIP password.
Then you can follow the guide document from Avaya in order to make a SIP Trunk up and running! :)
