VOIP Softphone

Can the VOIP softphone work without having preferred edition? we have a customer who has essential edition and would like 2 users to have the voip softphone on their smart phones. They don't have any servers on site as there system is hosted.

Is this possible? if so what licence would I need?

what application are you referring to on your smart phone?????? Softphone is a application that relies on a windows OS or MAC

I think he is referring to a 3rd party application (i.e. SJPhone ox X-Lite). And the question is what license does he require in order to have two 3rd SIP Endpoints registered to IP Office.

Smart phone app, I was hoping not to use a third party app, system on V9.
Would the Avaya smart phone voip app work without having one x? with the customer not having any server onsite and UC Modula quite expensive for one or two users!
