Customer has IP500v2 on R9.0 and they also 1 older legacy IP400 Phone8 V2 expansion module, will this continue to work if they are upgraded to R11?

I believe the IP400-Phone-16v2 and IP400-Phone-30v2 expansion mods work, but am not sure on this Phone-8v2 expansion mod. Does anyone know for sure?

You can select it during an off line generation. So I would say yes...

Hmmm, you are correct. It's there in an newly created offline config.

Not supported past 9.0

Those are the only External Phone-8 Modules listed

Avaya IP400 Phone 8 V1 (700184773)
Avaya IP400 Phone 8 V2 (700359896)

But then I was curious and tested it.

And the module works just fine.

It seems there is a difference between 'not supported' and 'doesn't work' ...

^^ Yes, there is! None of the 54xx series phones are supported, and work fine.
The regular monitor connection for XIMA is "not supported" in R10+ and they force you to use a CTI link, but the monitor connection works fine (not the best of course, but it works).

But the question was.. Will it work...

So I prove the question with an answer...

IP400 units work but if you have any issues, the defects/bugs will be rejected by Avaya.
46xx/54xx/56xx endpoints work but are not supported anymore. You have the binaries in AdminCD therefore you can use them but you will not get any Avaya support for those endpoints.
