thanks, so as long as your computer was on the same subnet as the ICP, and they can connect with team viewer, you were good to go.
might have to do the site visit thing
thanks
need a 200 ICP to downgrade the firmware on a 5540 console.
customer is hours away and running 5.0.1.11 on an AX, and the 5540 has failed.
we shipped them a 5540 we had, but was installed on a 3300 and it won't downgrade.
Mitel support says that if we upgrade them to the latest 5.0.2.14, and...
we were told by Mitel that if you were trying to record TW sets, the SRC licenses had to be on the same MBG as the TW licenses. If you are trying to record LAN based phones, the SRC licenses had to be on a LAN based MBG, not network edge. so some sites have two MBG/SRC servers.
we have been a 200 and 3300 dealer for years. we have just taken on the 5000 line and are soon to do our first "upgrade" from a 200ICP to a 5000 re-using the 5212 and 5224 sets. have gotten good at telling the customer what to expect when going from a 200ICP to a 3300, but have nothing on this...
this started in IE8
tools>security>custom level - about 2/3 of the way down - enable "include local directory path when uploading to a server"
then you can use any folder, not having to move everything to the fakepath folder.
thanks for that.
I was under the impression that it didn't work when it was first introduced. This is for an upcoming install.
I will forge ahead and if we have issues, will contact support.
I know it didn't at first, just wondering if it does now.
If we are using Exchange for voicemail, can we now have message waiting lights work on 5312 sets on MCD 6?
thanks for any feedback
update
we did go ahead with the customer in question.
all user licenses that had been migrated from the 200ICP's were available to be moved to the DLM.
th original package (16) were not
thanks for the feedback. in this case, the customer has sites that were migrated from 200ICP's and no IP user licenses have been purchased at those sites since.
I am thinking that those licenses won't be movable.
am really curious if ALL user licenses are then able to be transferred/moved among ICP’s
Specifically the ones that may have come in the initial license package or have been migrated from an upgrade from a 200ICP.
Getting vague answers from Mitel and it is an expensive option to buy to try it...
thanks for the feedback. I will probably try the SPP again on the next install. Also appreciate the feedback for having a virtual environment in the office to preconfigure and pretest. Will try to get that approved.
when this first came out, I tried it and then disabled it. Not really knowing what it was going to change on the 3300 every time something was done in the MAS caused more problems than it was worth. Having the desire to delete and recreate a user in the MAS when an employee was replaced (so the...
actually you can, but it is kludgy
Access the System Administrator's mailbox using the TUI
Press [2] for the Edit Mailbox menu.
Enter the mailbox number to edit.
Press # repeatedly until prompted to enter a Technician's function code.
Enter the desired Non-busy option from the table above...
I would be tempted to leave that one mailbox in there. When I accidentally create a conflict with one touch mailboxes and create the delay, deleting the conflict doesn't fix the delay until I reboot. So a reboot might bring your problem back
the help file suggests that it would work fine if you had mailboxes for the 9xxx extensions
Directory Mailbox - Mailbox 9 is used for the personnel directory. It cannot take messages. Callers use it to reach an employee by dialing the first six letters of the employee's first or last name (as...
guess I should mention, what you are doing is parking the call on the extension, for 1 second, then it forwards off to the extensions mailbox, (assuming the phone is call rerouted 1st alternative to voicemail)
like a lot of "solutions" in Mitel, it won't work for all customers, but this one will...
there is another way to do this that I came up with a couple of months ago. In my humble opinion, it is way better than the way that I used to do it which is the two different ways for the embedded and NPM mentioned above.
use the call park feature
-change the call park FAC to something like *#...
are your account codes a requirement of your phone system (you have to enter the code before you can dial a long distance call) or a requirement of your long distance carrier (you enter the account code after you dial the number)?
if the latter, then I have had success in creating a modify digit...
