5330 Call Forwarding Profile failure

Hie to you all.
The above ip phone is failing to forward calls when I use the superkey& the call forward menu. In the end the message that I get is this:- The activation of your call forwarding profile failed.
The call forwarding then doesn’t happen, but if I use the call forwarding FAC the forwarding occurs.
I am able to do forwarding using the superkey procedure on other types of ip phones on the same 3300.
What could be wrong with all the 5330s?
 
Do the 5330 phones have call forwarding internal and external enabled in their class of service?
 
Yes they do.In fact they share COS with the other types of IP phones that are managing to forward. Note that the 5330s can forward with FAC.

The following procedure is the one I need to work for the forwarding:-


Setting up the Profile
Press the Setting/Super Key•
Call Forwarding•
Profiles•
New Profile•
Edit Profile name•
Use the keypad to enter the name (Cell , Home, Normal)•
(Correct - backspace, Space press * twice, Capital letter keep pressing the Key)
Press ok
Save•
Press Always•
Enter Number (9 then number for external or Internal Ext.)•
Press ok•
Press Save•
Press Close•
Press Close again (This will bring you back to normal phone display)•
*** Repeat process to enter more profiles ***
 
Like Benny said, check the forwarding on the COS,
What happens when you activate the callforwarding profile from the sys admin?
Have you tried programming a button on the phone to activate call forwarding?

I think there is a knowledge base article about this being a bug in MCD....

5330 and 5340 sets need the two HCI options turned on in their COS in order to use the call forwarding "app
 
I found a quirk in mcd 4.2 with 5320 handsets experiencing the same problem.

Can't remember how I worked it out but the call forwarding external number must be fixed number length in rhe ars digits dialed form not an unknown number length. Perhap the same in mcd 5.0.

Example
calling number: 12345678
ars digitals dialled entry: 123
digits to follow: 5 (must not be unknown)
