just bare in mind if VM Pro stops working, so does your nice call routing, so create huntgroups with the same name as your modules as well so calls will still end up in the right place.
i reckon harden up, and start downloading all the apps / vm etc and upgrade them like any good partner would do! customers like it when you have told them they are on the latest (working) software..... adds a little value....

we have IP 500's with H323 trunks connected to Indexes, so you should be ok on the version front.
you cant register a new phone against the same base extn, as the switch sees that already registered to a new device, regardless of whether or not its logged in or not.
try turning autocreate extn on and create a new base extn for the handset....
quality - seems Avaya once again too quick to lauch a new product to market.
