I am in charge of the IT department for our compnay. I need to one number that is dedicated for our help desk but when users call that number with issues I want it to ring to all of my support staff at their EXTs or cell phones.

How do I setup AVAYA IP Offce to do this? What is the best practice for this?

I would say you need to find a good Avaya business partner to do this for you :)

ACS - IP Office Implement

"What the Crocodile Hat....was that?

A) you can set a DDI (Incoming call route) to your Ext.

B) create a new Hunt Group - call it "IT" for example, and put you in the hunt group and point the DDI to it.

If you have mobile twinning licences, you can "twin" your mobile to your handset, otherwise create a virtual user and have it forwarded to your mobile unconditially. (really only will work if the HG is ringing sequentially - or Hunt Ring - depending on the version of software you are on.

then you can set VM on the HG and have all the users in the group have access to it.

C) if you have VM Pro create a new module for IT. create some nice annoying call flows or an Autoattendant to route calls to the relevant people in the department..

hope this helps and makes sense!

Point the ICR (incomming call route) to a HG(HuntGroup use sequential, rotary or longest waiting. NOT collective!!), Then on the users a call forward to their mobiles. But it's better to use one-x mobile (twinning licence) then you can use Collective.

But Amriddle01 gave you the best option, don't do it youself it will cost you less at the end. I bed you've tried it for a few hours/days now and you could no get it to work. And most of us do it in les then 5 min.

That is the problem, we have yet to find a good business partner for AVAYA who has a clue as to what they are doing. We are in the DC Metro area.

I'm Dutch, but to a nice flight I never say no...:)

bas if you go on a plane does that make you the flying Dutchman? :p
you might be able to find an Avaya business partner that is further away and does the remote programming for you, if you can arrange that the PC you program from participates in a net-meeting then you can pretty much ask any BP to do it for you.
