Variable Routing using a Incoming Route Tag...

Is there anyway to use the Incoming Route Tag for some type of variable routing. I have a call center that fronts for several companies, but we use 1 general "sales" Huntgroup for answering calls. Currently i use the Incoming Route TAG to let the agents know where the call is coming from. I am now trying to set up a VM Pro breakout option from the sales queue, problem is that when the end user leaves a voicemail as the breakout option there is no way for the agent to know where the call was dialed into. If there is a way to test for what Incoming Call Route TAG existed so I can then direct the call to a specific voicemail rather then a general one. ANY IDEAS???

make different groups, one for every company you get calls for. You probably use different incoming numbers for them and you can easily separate them via incoming call route. You can also TAG the calls and it will show up in the display but different groups might be the easier solution

Copy the "Sales" HuntGroup and name them sales1, sales2, sales3....ect. Point the incomming call route to the different groups now you have different mailboxes and queues for each "sales" group.
Remove the TAG because the HuntGroup name will be displayed.

Thank you, but I am already using the incoming route TAG for identifying the callers when answered by an agent. I am seeking a way to test in VM Pro for that TAG and route the call to a specific company voicemail rather then a general vociemail.

Yes i'll go to my bed now....[morning]

My incoming routes point to VM Pro Modules that are my auto attendants.

a TAG cannot be routed in VMPro, use different HuntGroups and just remove the TAGs

Let me try again I have 80+ DID's that I route to VM-Pro Modules that will transsfer callers to a single huntgroup for call handeling. After the calls are queued for 3+ minutes I give them a breakout option to leave a message. Is there anyway I can test the DID or TAG to use variable routing to a specific voicemail?

Voicemail Pro can not check for the tag, it can add one however.
You should go with renaming the huntgroups and setup different mailboxes then you can individualize the greetings and afterwards dump it back into one mailbox for convenience if you like.

good night bas

the only reason I havent used more huntgroups is that I have no way of letting my agents monitor that many huntgroups in this case it will be over 15 different huntgroups for the agents to be logged into.

while I was typing you guys posted 4 posts , I am slow and need a nap too

You could give it a shot;

Put a generic before the tranfer, add a $CP0 , $CP1 , $CP2 , $CP3 , $CP4 ...ect

Then make 4 or 5 conditions (depending on how much you need)and put the 4 or 5 "test conditions" before the different mailboxes or queueus.

But again i think you're going to make it yourself hard to maintain it.

I had a thought while out smoking a cig - using Variable Transfer and testing the $DDI - I can transfer to a specific voicemail box as per the $DDI?

Yes yo can
And i think you also do not need so many groups
When you transfer the call from vmpro to the group you can set a tag
When you need to route by DDI then you have a lot of programming to do !

just bare in mind if VM Pro stops working, so does your nice call routing, so create huntgroups with the same name as your modules as well so calls will still end up in the right place.
