hi,
does anyone know what user/passwd to login to an SCS server from an SCS client?
i have successfully installed both SCS svr & client (along with LDAP5.1) on a unix solaris8 workstation.
but when i tried to login to the svr (from a client: SCSClient), the system won't let me in.
which user...
if you are looking for stability, features, vendor that's been there since day 1 PBX was invented, i'd say go with Nortel.
not because of this is a forum for Nortel's products, but that's just for facts and for sure.
their support is excellent, no doubt.
lretrievers,
the phone can only login when the handset is off the hook (as you suggested).
but as soon as i put it down, the agent is kicked out again.
what's the right way of keeping the agent logged in regardless the handset position?
thanks.
have you checked the RTR properties?
i'm sure you have, but just want to make sure, because mine running flawlessly (isn't that agents' ADD beeping nice, eh? :-D )
plus there are 2 other places you have to look at:
- server setup config (RSM ip addr)
- multicast & port config
that should do it...
how do i login into an i2004 ACD-agent phoneset?
i did it ok in i2050, by pressing the ACD-queue (3rd key/button on the right), then punching login ID then # (pound sign). unfortunately, that doesn't apply to i2004.
tia.
to add others' comments:
- make sure to go to IE's tools-> i/net options-> security-> custom levels...
and enable all (if not most of) active-X related & scripting options (i did all of them).
- make sure proxy (if used) is configured properly
good luck..
hmmm.. i was wondering if anyone could post "how to troubleshoot if acquire-TN failed".
i've read so many posts that suggest ACD corruption or POS ID corruption but none of them solved my issue.
in symposium, i use the CS1K's call-server's IP (ELAN) to connect to. the ACD-DN and the ACD-queue...
I have the same problem with ADD 'hang'. i tried to allow symposium server to be included in 'trusted site' of IE5 (tools-option-security) and disable 'reuse window for shortcuts (tools-option-advanced) - as suggested in pbxinfo (another forum) but still not working.
in sniffer, i see a bunch of...
in Call Center environment, how do you config CS1K so that when calls to a CDN will be routed to Symposium Call Center Server?
is there LD commands associated with that?
thanks.
ola viper222:
the 8600 will not do any routing if you don't give the vlans IP addresses..
of course, requirement for each PC to be able to talk across vlans is: have a default gateway pointing to the 8600's vlans' IP addresses correspondingly.
you DO NOT NEED ANY STATIC ROUTES if you do it this...
2430 router should also support ML-frame relay (multi link).
but i think, you might want to check out their new Tasman's routers.. they even support encryption over WAN-link (*too bad no compression like BayRS)..
you don't need SiteManager to configure it..
it saves you time considerably...
to Meridian gurus:
any of you had a good pointer on what CDN is about?
how CDN differs from regular DN?
when symposium/contact center server is ready, what's the quickest way to test whether it works or not (i mean, the connection to the CS 1000 switch)? i know i have to config some CDNs..
i'm...
