We converted our last Nortel phone to Cisco today. I just wanted to thank everyone here that helpded me out over the last few years with suggestions and help with the many problems and/or questions I had. This place was always my first stop before any other tech support for the Nortel system...
BIOMEDCOMM - I have not had any luck finding wired earbuds that work.
whykap - the link you posted does not work for me. It comes up with a plantronics page that says to narrow my search. I have tried the Plantronics site before and end up going in circles trying to find anything on that...
We are looking for a wired headset/ear buds for the 7925g phones, something similar to what you use for a cell phone. I know they have bluetooth, but we are a manufacturing facility and battery life of the bluetooth is a problem.
Cisco website says "The Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phones support...
We are in the process of migrating from Nortel to Cisco. I need to OUT my 2250 and redirect calls to the operator 0 and our main number 5300 to the new Cisco Console.
I have already migrated about 1/3 of the desk phones to Cisco by removing them and creating route in LD87 to Cisco.
The new...
I need to have 3 DIDs that are currently on 3 different phones moved to a single phone.
I will be setting them up on a M2616 so that I have enough buttons to have the MWK on a key for each of there voicemail boxes.
My question: Do I need to do anything special to have the DID roll to the...
Thanks for all the help/suggestions.
I have been testing using a 7 digit number for line 2.
Key 0 = 1234
Key 1 = 2991234
So far the people using it have not had any complaints and it works great.
Just wanted to thank everyone for the help.
Thanks again, I am testing 2995XXX on a few phones and so far it seems to be working as expected.
One last question. Is there a way with command line or OTM to change the label from 2995XXX to Line 2 or would I have to do that on every phone? I am using M3903 and 1120E IP phones.
Thanks for all the replies and information, it really is a big help getting different examples and ideas.
If we were to do the 5 or 7 digit roll over is there anything on the system that needs to be changed?
One of the first posts mentioned pkg dnxp 150, how can I determine look for that.
First a little back history...
Before I started working here and also before we grew in employee size we had 2 blocks of DID numbers, the 5XXX and 7XXX range.
All our phones were programmed such that line 1 was 5XXX and line 2 was 3XXX (where XXX is the same number)
Now we need to free up the...
I do not have FTR HOT D programmed. This phone is not programmed to Hot dial another number. It is just programmed as a regular phone.
Maybe I will just delete it and create it again.
I have an analog phone setup on an outside gate that employess can use to call internal numbers only. Problem is that sometimes when they pickup the phone reciever, it dials 0 without them doing anything.
I can never make this happen when I test it, but I have only tried a couple of times.
If...
I think some are missing the point, I am not really trying to figure out if a phone is connected, I need to know if connected phones are being used. If the phone is connected but no one is using it then it is wasting a digital license and telephone that could be used in another location.
Thanks. I know it's not 100% accurate, but I can tell which TN's do not have phones plugged in if I enable all the ones that are disabled and then check to see if they disable again... correct?
I will check the Call Detail reports, I hadn't thought of that route.
