IPGuru,
The programming was done with line app. on each digital phone. Like I said the Recep. puts a call on hold on line 1 and you go to another phone (5410) it shows line 1 being used, not "on hold Elsewhere". I had a buddy set it up in his shop with the same version and his worked right off...
One more thing...what is the downgrade procedure? Just incase you guys suggest that I go to 2.1 then do the 2.99 loader and then to 3.0 and then to 3.1. I don't want to do this but if it makes the system (that everyone tells me works like a champ)work as a squared out system, then the customer...
Okay folks, I have an SOE that the customer wants to see his 3 CO lines on the phones. This is no problem. The problem comes when the receptionist answers a call and puts it on hold...it doesn't show up as "on hold elswhere" on the other extensions, it shows up as the line is being used. The...
Thanks PhoneMn
I have the gateways grounded right now, to conduit being the only available "ground". I had the customer call Avaya and I got a call from the tech gurus in Canada. He suggested removing the grounds from the two gateways and see if that helped. Let me know what you find out...
Any one any good at quick edition? I have installed one recently and have found that when your off hook and someone is typing in the room you can hear it clearly in the handset. When you talk there is a hiss...until you stop talking. There is some echo and I have adjusted loop length to it's...
IPGURU
Yeah that's kinda what I thought, it would increase costs somewhere in the scheme of things. But did you have any thoughts about the upgrade procedure? Can I upgrade straight to 3.1.56 or do I need to do all the "loader" upgrades? I know we had to do all that for the 403 modules...
Is it just me or does everyone get their control units with outdated software? I have yet to install a Small Office Edition and I opened it up and hooked up and found the installed software is 2.0.16. So that pretty much tells me that this unit has been sitting in a warehouse for about...
That is the way I understand it. I think there tearing down the facility it resides in and putting up a new one. So it looks like a temporary thing. So I guess they just want to disable it and then of course enable it at a later time.

Thanks for the response d3finity.
Here is the info straight from the sales weasel's mouth.
It is G3r V6.0
Multiple EPN's
1-SRP (this is apparently old school in an SI carrier)
If you need more info just ask and I can pull finger nails or use the bamboo shoots under the nails to get it!

Tried that TTT the call still went to voicemail. Now I asked the recep if she got the call back and she said no. I tried it again with me standing at the console...the return was set to 4 rings the group cover at the extension was set to 7 rings. Still went to voicemail and didn't ring back...
Okay I have a customer he wants calls to come in to the console, transfer to extension, return back on no answer, and let the receptionist transfer to VM. I only know one way to do that. Use the "Cover VMS off" button on each phone. They are changing the night service to take calls to the...
great touchtonetommy, as far as a "centrex" paging I assume your talking about a TAM-B unit or something like that?
Have you ever done this? Any programming things I would need to know? I know that the analog stations need to be in each switches non-local dialplans.
Thanks again
Bill
Okay, Avaya says it is not supported, I have heard that it can be done, but no one wants to say how it's done.
I have a good idea on how to do it but no ability to test it out. So I need your collective help!
Can you loudspeaker page across a networked Merlin Magix, and what is the best way...
that would be it...after I beat the sales weasel to within an inch of his life for using bigger words than he needed. Irisngen is correct...is there anything special we need to do to remove it from the system? Me? I would just unplug the damn thing, clear the alarms and call it day! But I...
I am not a definity tech. One of my sales guys asked me if I would post this for you guys to answer.
He wants to know if there is anything you "must" do to remove a survivable remote processor from a system?
I don't know what it is or what it does...so if you could help me out, I would...
Okay! resolution to this problem. They did some reprogramming and removed line 3 from group call distribution, that solved some of it. When the system was put into night line 3 was set to cover to night greeting after 4 rings...therefore allowing the automated banking system modem to answer...
Thanks Danny28, pretty much what I figured would happen...nothing!!!
A crazy CEO who thinks he will make his people answer phones by removing there voicemail coverage...silly CEO answering live is for kids!!!
Thanks again!!!
Thanks skip555,
they may have an alarm line, and I will know more tonight after I stop there on the way home. So stay riveted to see what is going on!
