Morning all!

I have not worked on a Merlin Legend/Magix for quite some time now and I have a question regarding coverage.

The scenario is this: Calls come in to operator, get transferred to stations, ring 4 or 5 times, no answer, transfer returned to the operator, she can either page or direct to voicemail. My question is what happens with DID numbers and when "nights" is activated.

I am trying to recall some of my other systems but nothing is ringing a bell. I know that if I give the stations coverage on/off they can set there phones, but if they forget to turn it on...what happens?

I was thinking "your call is being transferred to the operator" but for some reason I am thinking it just rings and won't go anywhere from there...call me crazy!

Any help or ideas on how to handle this scenario would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!!!
Bill

I assume this would depend on how you have your DID #s routed. If the DID in question connects to an Auto Attendant first, and the schedule is set to closed in the AA, or the switch is set to night mode, then the night message will play. However, if you also have DIDs set up to go directly to each extension in addition to your "main number", night service will have no affect on those extensions. Even if in night service, these calls will end up going to voicemail if the extension is covered by voicemail.

Or the extension will ring until the caller hangs up if the extension is not covered by voicemail.

Thanks Danny28, pretty much what I figured would happen...nothing!!!

A crazy CEO who thinks he will make his people answer phones by removing there voicemail coverage...silly CEO answering live is for kids!!!

Thanks again!!!
