Do a list usage extension zero and you'll see where it's used. There's no problem changing that to another number, and then changing the dialplan and building extensions in the 0XXX range. The zero out option in VM can be set to any 4 digit extension, so no conflict there.

The SMGR doesn't need its own license file, it's free basically. You *can* use it to host the licenses of all your other equipment, but you don't have to. And it sounds like you aren't.

have you poked around in system manager at all? from there click Routing, then Adaptations. Here is where you can manipulate digits between your session manager and cm, or aam, or whatever.

what release are you on? as someone who has made use of the CAG many times over the years, i was excited to see that they increased the members from 8 to 100 in 6.3 (i'm pretty sure it was 6.3, maybe earlier, someone will correct me...)

sorry think1st,
so far you just have 1 guy pissing and moaning (me), and 3 others saying "intended, designed, and *will* appear...no matter".
seven years from now you'll get an email notification that there's been a response to this thread, so you'll log into tek-tips to see if finally avaya...
what makes you say "the issue is avaya"? there are lots of moving parts between the soft phone client and the cm server. you may be able to tweak settings in the client to adapt to your vpn settings, but that doesn't mean the issue is avaya.

It's the release, you're dead on. I'm @ SMGR 6.3.0, no service pack, and i have no granular fields. I couldn't tell you for sure which release/patch it shows up in, but I'm going right to the latest 6.3.4 this weekend, I'll repost any tips I might be able to provide...

Anyone implement this yet? The doc mentions entering things like extension ranges, vector numbers, hunt group numbers, etc. The problem is, I don't see these fields anywhere, I only have radio buttons, no open fields.

I read thread690-1542671 which seemed to be the same issue but there wasn't a posted resolution. Anyone else have an issue getting the link up? We're migrating from RS232 connection to IP, the link comes up after a reboot then goes down when i run the cdr source wizard on ECAS...

telnet to the procr or clan over port 5023, or over port 23 and then type 'autosat' once you're in. use 'w2ktt' as the emulator, and then you're in just like asa (well, almost)...
