Not sure if anyone is doing this, but we inherited a group whose external E.164 #'s end in 0xxx. Unfortunately, we had to give them non matching internal 4 digit extensions because of the leading 0. Is anyone utilizing 0xxx as an extension range? Right now, 0 in my environment is a VDN that routes to our receptionists (who would dial 0 internally is beyond me). What other areas of the system would utilize 0 that I'd have to be aware of? I have VM, which there is a 0 out option, but not sure if that's a gamebreaker. Any ideas would be of great help.. would help me unlock almost 1000 usable numbers.

In the US most pbx's are programmed for 0 as a single digit to call the attendant console
Dial 0 in audix / voicemail is defined for the system or each mailbox for the destination of 0 out.

dialplan or dialplan analysis 0 length 1 is defined as attd. attd is the attendant queue.
attendant queues with tenant partitioning can be different for each.

Do a list usage extension zero and you'll see where it's used. There's no problem changing that to another number, and then changing the dialplan and building extensions in the 0XXX range. The zero out option in VM can be set to any 4 digit extension, so no conflict there.

Yes, correct.. we don't use 'attd' anymore so we just made 0 a VDN that routes to a vector into our reception queue. We really don't see why an internal person should be dialing 0, so we are going to push to have that changed. The 0 out, in theory can be reprogrammed to something else? Was just wondering if we'd break something else I don't know about that the system uses 0 for. Is there a way to have 0 length of 1 and length of 4 in the dialplan ?

Yes but never do this because if you dialed just 0 the system will wait until the inter digit dial out timer is exceeded before it dials as it doesn't know if you are trying to dial 0 or 0xxx so not a good way to do this.

Aside from the main VDN the usage command flags even vector steps that reference available agents = 0. I'm assuming that means nothing. What about a variable that is defined as 0.. would that need to be changed?

Code:
Export Data Filter
use pulldown and select inc-call-handling-trmt
exporting without filling in Filter box will export all icht for all
trunk-groups (isdn, sip)
Make sure you are going to export and import to same trunk-group types with same
service types.

Filter:

mouse to select top left Field Box, then pulldown, select Trunk Number

I used trunk-group "1". I want to export this data so it can later
be imported into icht for trunk-group 11 and icht for trunk-group 21
