Access 2000 "Disk or Network Error"

It took a while for the customer and I to get back together. RoyVidar you were correct that it was corruption. Thanks. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Access 2000 "Disk or Network Error"

Let me first preface by stating that I know as much about Access as I know US tax laws. I provide support for a large corporate environment and Access is just not my strong suit. However I have a customer that uses Access 2000 with a database on a shared network drive. The client does an...

Hijack this log - Please review

The BHO with the PID number 60112085-E1CE-4e0e-823A-EBB1AD98804C looks suspicious. Any BHO pointing to a file in the TEMP directory generally isn't a legit program. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Can unread messages in subfolders show on parent folder?

I don't believe that is possible. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Outlook 2003 not retain domain name

See if this helps... SYMPTOMS When you start Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2002 Service Pack 3 (SP3) after you upgrade from an earlier version of Outlook, you are prompted to enter your user name and password. The user name and domain name that you used when you previously...

    excel to outlook graph

What editor are you using HTML or RTF? Are you wanting to insert it as an object or just and image? If trying to insert as an object you may find this task easier if you use Word as the e-mail editor and then you can use word to insert the graph. Just a thought. joegz "Sometimes you...

Dumb move - forgot to backup my pst file

PST files are not hidden files. If they reformatted the HD and reinstalled the OS there is no chance in recovering the data. Sorry. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Opening Word documents, 'Outlook is retrieving data ...' pop up.

Although I really can't think of how this would occur but by any chance were any of those affected set to use Word as the e-mail editor? joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Outlook Advanced Find "Search In" field

Well all I can think of is to setup a search with the fields the was you want them and then save the search. Then when they want to use the search function they can click on the *.OSS file icon (i.e. save the search to the desktop or to the quickbar) to open the search with the fields already...

OutlookXP Asks For Exchange Password But Won't Allow Access

Sounds like a DNS issue to me. Have you tried adding the DNS suffix into the DNS setting so that you don't have to enter the FQDN? joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

    Outlook 2000 abnormal program termination

This error has popped up in several forums and there has never been a uniformed solution for the issue. My first guess would be to try replacing your frmcache.dat file with a fresh copy from another system. I am guessing that Outlook is having a problem with the standard forms. You can also...

Make "New Message" open in maximised window

Or if you want you can try this freeware as well. Personally I haven't used it myself so I can't vouch for the type of performance. http://www.southbaypc.com/AutoSizer/ joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Make "New Message" open in maximised window

That was for Outlook. Sorry didnt know you meant OE. For OE you have to resize the message. Open a new message, grab a corner with your mouse and extend the size to what you want it (don't use the maximize button). Once you sized it close it and open a new message. joegz "Sometimes you...

Importing Excel file into contacts within Outlook

Change the xls file extension to a CSV file. Then use the import function in Outlook to import the CSV file into your contacts. You will be more successful with a CSV file than an XLS file. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Make "New Message" open in maximised window

Open a new message window. Maximize it and then close the window. Now every message you open afterwards will be maximized. joegz "Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Outlook, cannot send file as shortcut

From what I have read on this (though no place says this literally) I think Microsoft has taken that option out for some insane reason in XP. You will have to create a shortcut to the file and then attach the shortcut as a file. Or do the drag and drop as previously mentioned. joegz...

Outlook 2000 crashes when deleting text in a reply

We used to have this problem for a few months and it was with HTML formatted mail only. The problem seem to resolve itself after we took a security update for either IE or W2K but I wish I could tell you specifically which one it was. I never could find any information specific on this issue...
